The other thread was getting too slow (and we were running out of space faster than the thread on a bobbin)

Don't forget Sewing Bee is on Wednesday this week due to football âš½

SoupDragon · 01/07/2024 19:55

Stupid bloody football

@Wilma55 Thank you! I had missed that somehow - I'd have been cross tomorrow night to discover it wasn't on, and wouldn't have checked Wednesday I don't suppose.

BiscuityBoyle · 01/07/2024 19:58

Oooh thank you for that. I wouldn’t have known.

FuzzyPuffling · 01/07/2024 20:17

Thank you. I didn't know.
Maybe they'll be sewing footy kits.
.

MouseMinge · 01/07/2024 20:54

Thank you for the head's up. This is a week of things being trying and I might have overreacted to no Sewing Bee tomorrow withough pre-warning!

Wilma55 · 01/07/2024 20:56

@FuzzyPuffling it's lingerie week so one for the WAGs perhaps!

PickAChew · 02/07/2024 10:17

I'm looking forward to loosely fitted corsets (last week's preview showed something about 3 cup sizes too big) , bras with one cup an inch higher than the other and camisoles fashioned from old blankets.

SoupDragon · 02/07/2024 11:57

I don't understand why they've moved it. They are showing a repeat of the Repair Shop in todays slot.

Floralnomad · 02/07/2024 11:58

I don’t understand the move either as BBC are showing the 5pm match and ITV have the 8pm one . More likely to be about Wimbledon than football .

SoupDragon · 02/07/2024 12:04

Yes, I've just noticed that it's because of Wimbledon rather than the football. I'm not interested in that either!

I love the tennis but it's a bollocks to move Sewing Bee because you want to show more of it. I know there are a lot of British players on court today but I stopped watching at 7pm and a lot of them had completed their matches by then. Also, why show a Repair Shop repeat when they could just show Sewing Bee?! Make it make sense.

Norugratsatall · 02/07/2024 20:50

Gutted it's been moved (only just found out). Been looking forward to this all day. This is the problem with moving its usual seasonal slot of April/May back, it now clashes with all the sport.

lollipoprainbow · 02/07/2024 21:02

When has it been moved to ?

MissMarplesNiece · 02/07/2024 21:06

@lollipoprainbow Tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9pm.

SoupDragon · 02/07/2024 21:37

I've missed myself by watching "a stitch in time" on iplayer. It seems to be a mini Irish Sewing Bee which is 2 challenges, both of which appear to be transformation challenges. The results are... interesting.

thanks for the tip, I'll have a look at that.

SoupDragon · 03/07/2024 14:20

Only 30 minute episodes (and only 4 of them) so it's a nice bit of "filler" TV. Actually has some history stuff in it too which is interesting,

OP posts:
Wilma55 · 03/07/2024 14:43

Is it A stitch through time?

SoupDragon · 03/07/2024 16:05

Wilma55 · 03/07/2024 14:43

Is it A stitch through time?

Yes. My mistake!

OP posts:
upinaballoon · 03/07/2024 19:59

I wouldn't bet on it starting bang on time at 9 p.m. but what do I know! I like the idea of camisoles - was it camisoles? - made from old blankets. Not seriously, but the thought makes me smile.

SoupDragon · 03/07/2024 20:48

It's worth checking that they don't switch it to BBC2 if the tennis overruns.

Evening all

Tennis is just moving to BBC2 now so sewing bee will be on BBC1 within the next few minutes
