Contestants were announced today for the new series starting on Monday 3rd.

I don't know if I can do it this year folks.

Not a lot happening between Ronnie Toupee and Harriet atm, so what was all of that about (scripted?)

Candyman & Munveer might as well not be there they feature so little

I think its easy to lose interest when the day to day time zone is spread out so much.

@Arconialiving yes Uma was definitely gaslighting Mimi. I hope someone amazing goes in for Mimi and she can be treated like the Queen she is.

I was listening to the podcast earlier (way too much time on my hands right now with a broken ankle) but Sam who left last week said that Sean has always really fancied Jess and that she often said she liked him too so we will see.

He also said that the boys think kissing someone is nothing and they don’t give it another thought so that may not bode well for various of the girls!

My thoughts too. He's so stupid and below average looks.

Joey apparently is far from a virgin. I saw his friend Arge interviewed the other day and he said that Joey gets ALOT of attention. He is weirdly asexual but he’s probably one of those men who has a certain level of fame which makes him attractive to a certain type of woman.

I mean I like Joey, he’s cute, but I’m just not sure what it is with him…it’s like a young teenage boy

Not appreciating Jess stirring between Uma and Mimi. Did she also imply that her and Ron were kissing in bed yet she doesn’t feel the need to tell anyone but she made Ayo tell Uma about his kiss with Mimi. Double standards much?

@Rollergirl11 I thought exactly the same thing about Jess. Plus they are all behaving like they are exclusive rather than in Week 2 and still “open.” That said, I have no idea what the hell Toupee Ron is doing and I hated the way he said, “I don’t know how I’m getting away with this. “

All this 'honesty' with people they have known for five minutes seems overkill to an old timer like me. That they are compelled to declare everything that is going on in their head and all of their intentions before being able to breathe in anyone else's direction.
There was much more ducking and diving in my youth! Multiple dates with different blokes. None of them any the wiser about each other. So glad that I dated years ago, when everything seemed more spontaneous.
Of course I know Love Island is an artificial construct but it does seem to reflect the real life dating style of young people of today (I have two of them).

I don't understand why the girls go after the same bad boys and want to fight for them! And they ignore nice guys Munveer and Candyman, who would appreciate them.
But then I'm early 40's, what do I know.

The only couple I like so far are Ciaran and Nicole, they seem genuine.

Up until tonight I did like Jess but agree about the stirring and double standards.

I kind of like Patsy, I think she's gorgeous, but feel she is too feisty for Munveer. Was hoping Omar picked her, think they'd make a cute couple.

Totally gone off Ayo and Uma. Mimi seems nice and could do so much better than Ayo but she's put all her eggs in his basket already!

Cannot stand Harriet! Enough said.

Sam and Joey are meh. Joey is clearly there to stir things up, the way he gets involved in every drama and is the 'advise giver'. Find him hilarious though!

Jess was on Aftersun on Sunday and said Sean is her type.

can’t see any chemistry at all between Joey and Samantha.

The end of tonight’s showed seemed quite staged.

Joey is a strange mix of man in his 30s with the charisma of a teenage boy. I think he fancies Harriet and has got the ick for Samantha. When she refers to his ‘status/fame’ she is a bit fan girly.
The girls are all a bit crazy to be expecting to be properly coupled up after 20 minutes. Ron with his car-mat hair I find utterly repulsive. I don’t know how he’s getting away with it either.
Uma reminds me of Miquita Oliver.

Who is Sean??

Sean is Candyman - the one who sells sweets for a living. I’m struggling to identify him beyond that as he and Munveer have been given almost no airtime! I think he might be coupled up with Harriet but again hard to say because Harriet seems to have some sort of connection to almost all of the boys!

I wish Jess would give it a chance with him - she’s wasting her time with Toupee Ron besides which he’s not worthy of her.

I can’t see any friendship couples emerging this year which is usually quite a good strategy for the stragglers.

Pray tell me why?
I just don’t get it. He is not particularly interesting .
He has what is either an ill fitting syrup or a crap hair transplant from some dodgy clinic in Istanbul.
Just don’t get the attraction.

@Lampzade I think he’s balding and instead of embracing it he’s trying to camouflage. There’s a glint of scalp when there’s a breeze. I suppose it’s easy for me to say but I don’t get why men do this the attempts to hide going bald always look worse than being bald!

Munveer and Patsy would do well to build a good strong friendship couple to stay safe until things get going with more bombshells but they seem to be cold shouldering each other.

It seems quite forensic with the honesty this year, every kiss needing to be reported upon.

Ron's toupee was soaked at the end of that challenge! He seems quite funny in a chaotic way. Definitely reminds me a lot of Toby.

Unpopular opinion but I'm getting bored of Mimii. Yes she's dignified but I prefer Uma who seems a lot more fun. Ayo is more boring with his duplicated patter though so they could be a perfect match. Hopefully someone who's a good laugh and kind will come in for Uma

It always seems to be the boys messing about the girls and it makes me cross.
I also don't like that it normalises situationships.
