I missed Matteo’s match yesterday unfortunately but was able to watch Danielle’s match. She really is having a great season. Perhaps it’s knowing she’s retiring has allowed her to relax and not care so much which has resulted in better performances.

Yes Chessie Danielle seems to have been on a roll since she announced her retirement

Just watching a bit of Monte Carlo - it looks nice although Dan Evans not looking too happy having lost the first three games

I wasn't able to watch Ben last night, in the end. But very well done to him- though I would have been happy to see Big Foe Win.

I've just had chance to put MC on, and no, it's not looking good for Dan. Ofner is not a bad player though- the only thing I ever remember about him, is he was coached by Domi's dad

Because MC actually started some matches yesterday, there have already been some results. Fritz is out already, lost to Musetti , perhaps not really that big an upset. Bublik lost, and Seb Baez.
Felix has started well against Nardi, who could have been tricky.
Grigor and Tsitsipas are both in action today- Stef not having the best year, and he's playing Djere, who could be a tough opener.

And Fizzy it's so sad that Rafa isn't there, for the second year. Considering it's one of his most successful tournaments, and he might not get chance to play competitvely there again

I know, it's annoying about Djok. Tournaments are so much better without him. He has an ok -ish start too- plays either Munar or Safiullin. Safiullin has the game to cause trouble for Djok, if he's rusty though. So fingers crossed .

I'm always shocked by how deep Felix's voice is . He doesn't look like it should be that deep Is Uncle Toni still in his camp?

I'm surprised Vacherot got a wildcard again this year after going out in the first round last year. He obviously knows people being a local!
