@BirthdayRainbow Callum and his mum were very minor characters but faced with the utter shit storm of plots at the time we all grew very attached to them. Callum was Leyla's drug dealer and his mum didn't even appear on screen, was just mentioned a couple of times, but some of us still worry about her.

@JaneJeffer she has a very recognisable face and to be fair, according to Wikipedia, has been in many many things. Unlike the greatest actor in the world ever.

Thanks @PrincessScarlett . Iirc Callum was a nasty piece of work and I don't remember anything about his mum.

I’ve wondered about Callum’s mum when she’s been mentioned on here and I had no recollection of her. I must have too much time on my hands as curiosity got the better of me and I decided tonight to google Callum’s mum Emmerdale. I thought a photo might jog my ailing memory. I didn’t realise she’d never appeared on screen 🤣

But my head is wrecked now by the photo that popped up in relation to my google enquiry. It’s a scene from Coronation St. Fuckin Wendy was the mother of bad boy Callum in Corrie in 2015. And Ella the Emmerdale dodgy receptionist is in the photo as well.

I've never heard of or seen the acclaimed new actress. Let's hope she's not another "feisty female" or she can do one

She was the exact same character in Corrie @Jitterybugs with a horrible son and hassling her grandson’s mother. Must have been so easy for her to learn her Emmerdale script!

When Callum held Leyla, Jacob and possibly Suzy hostage in the gamekeeper hut in the woods, the armed police surrounded them and Callum starting panicking saying he had his dear old mum to look after. There was quite a lengthy conversation about his mum as Leyla tried to gain his trust by getting him to talk about his mum. As the police led him away Callum was shouting that he needed to check on his mum.

Wendy was fucking annoying as Corrie Callum's mum as well. Always threatening to take Max away. She obviously is typecast as mum to nasty sons.

The police were speaking to Callum on a loudspeaker saying we’ve spoken to your mum 😂

That was hilarious @JaneJeffer, of all the things to shout over a loud speaker in a hostage situation. But we are dealing with Hotten police 🤣🤣

He’s a good lad really that Callum, just got in with the wrong crowd 😁

I don’t remember Wendy being in Corrie but I do remember Ella as Kylie in Corrie. As for the actress who is coming into Emmerdale, never heard of her and yes, I did Wikipedia her. Still no clue lol

I’m seriously worried about my memory. I watch Corrie and have no recollection of Wendy in it. I remember Kylie/Ella. I can’t take to her in Emmerdale.

She was always round the Platt’s screeching about something @Jitterybugs but then she left and the part was given to someone else who was also annoying

She certainly excels at the screeching and snivelling parts. Throw in the need for an interfering mother/mother in law and she’s a natural.
