Why doesn't the church ask her to stand down ?

@Justkoko the 'money' went into a suspense account. They couldn't allocate it to transactions as there weren't any due to the faulty system. The postmasters physically put money into their branches, cash from their wallet, personal cheques or, in our case and many other via monthly deductions from their salaries.
At each year end the PO suspense account had all this extra money, so they put it back as extra profit without a source and then it seems paud themselves performance based bonuses as theyd had such a good year.
Auditing was done in house.

Sorry didn't realise she had stood down. That's good.
But still her actions haven't been great. She does have some blame. The govt signed with Fujitsu though. Who was pulling all these strings. Who wrote that contract for the postmasters?

She has taken money from the public purse and wasted it.

Where is it in her contract that she she has to make good any lost revenue?

Or wasted legal expenses?

They have had Mike Pilivachi to deal with first and a lot of questions still to answer about why concerns about this man were left unaddressed for so long:

And apparently auditors didn't ask why there's a massive amount in the suspense account at year end, where it came from and what it's for.

When I was working in finance and it came to audit time, the race was on to get the suspense accounts down to zero.

I haven't read about the PO scandal in depth, but then I don't need to to realise the PO is corrupt and incompetent from top to bottom.
