Makes a lot of sense: I'm sure they'd get along like a house on fire.

I think I'd find them a bit much as a couple though. I like them both, but personally I think they'd both better be with someone quieter or dryer to balance their energy levels out.

She's much too tall for him surely.

Also I've never really liked him (nothing to do with the recent kerfuffle) and she is both lovely and probably a decent dancer, so he shouldn't have her.

Grazziano is tall. Maybe him?

Just seen Gio has announced next years tour is The Last Dance as he is going to take a bit of a break. Wonder if this signals his time on strictly may be coming to an end too?

I'm wondering if they will go after Max Whitlock now he's announced his retirement from gymnastics... Another Louis Smith??

It must be soon that they start announcing which pros are leaving this year?

Speaking of Rachel's... Rachel Blackmore wouid be great. They don't have many jockeys. I know Richard Dunwoody did Strictly. Please NOT Detorri though....

Oh no, he was my favourite pro, he choreographed some fabulous routines.

I’ve met Gio out and about. He was friendly and have a great photo with him. Shame.

Disappointed but not surprised after all the the controversy last season. He's branched out and done other sorts of TV and this has. provided a perfect time to move on.

Anyone seen the ads for Legends of the Dancefloor? James Jordan, Brendan Cole, Pasha and others. Looks interesting. Very sad to see Gio go.

Didn't he do his own show at Blackpool?

So very sad about Gio leaving. He was my fave pro. The pros I like are rapidly declining. I only like Katya, Kai and Nikita now. Everybody else is pretty bland.

On another matter, I read somewhere Layton is now playing
the new MC in Cabaret in the West End. I might go.

Not surprised. He's been very active in developing new lines of work for himself. His current/recent show has been a huge success, I think.
I also miss the 'proper' pros DISCLAIMER I am a Strictly gimmer, but I long for the days of Anton and Erin, Ian Waite, the pro dances that showcased some ballroom and proper Latin rather than looking like porny music videos, and the notion of everyone doing the same dance in the same week and building up to the harder ones.
Oh, and the days when no one got a 9 until at least the semifinal and then they were thrilled with it.

I also long for the days of proper dances, instead of posing and voguing and CGI. Also when they didn't recruit from Burn the Floor.

Gio was not old, but his routines were properly old school and ambitious with lots of content.

What a shame about Gio. He and Rose were one of my favourite-ever SCD couples, along with him and Debbie and him and Fay. There were others I liked very much such as Johannes/Annabel and Kevin/Susan and Anton/Katie and several others, but Gio’s stand out for me.

Thankfully Dettori seems too busy in the US these days! Jockeys have a great record in Ireland’s DWTS - Nina Carberry won in 2022 and Davy Russell got to the semi final this year.

Can’t see AP having a go, but if he did he’d be VERY competitive!
