Loved the show tonight. Not surprised Ellie won, she made the biggest journey and progression and think it meant more to her than the others. Loving Layton and Nikita tonight and how emotional Nikita was. Really hope he gets someone great next year if he gets picked.

I wasn't that impressed with Laytons showdance.
I was expecting something completely different. Seemed kinda similar to other dances he had done, with added hand stands or whatever.
Ellie s showdance was too much about lifts for me.
She won because of popularity already and her favourite dance!!!

All the Ghost dances has me giggling but I’m watching a serious murder story with OH.

I'm glad Ellie won, I’ve been a fan since week 1 and I thought the CC for Bobby was a bit of a smoke screen to tug at the heart strings and detract from the other rather bland, although competent dances.

Layton was as professional as he always is, very entertaining but over polished for Strictly. I think people will pay good money to see him perform on stage or screen.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Ellie and Bobby.

I'm not sad that Layton and Nikita didn't win (knew they wouldn't and am happy for Ellie & Vito). I'm sad that I won't get to see any more of their dances or tweets or IG posts or ITT interviews. I've absolutely loved their friendship and will really miss them.

I agree. And for me that AT was the dance of the series.

From memory, Ore twice including in the quarter final, in 2016.
I don't think the winner has been in a dance off since.

I'm sure Caroline Flack was in a dance off about half way through the 2014 series and went on to win. I think that DO was a classic example of people not voting, assuming she was safe.

Ore was in the dance off twice but he had a good night on the final and at least one of the others (Danny Mac I think) had a few wobbles in their dances so Ore stood out and the public voted for him.

I think it’s off to say Bobby’s dance was awful, so you didn’t watch it.
I don’t usually like contmpowaft, find it a bit histrionic.
I liked this one- quiet and sweet, but the jumps were powerful and the landing perfect. I thought it improved, too. He really relaxed into it.

I’m still
miffed that Annabel wasn’t in the final as she embodies Strictly imo. But I’d have been happy with Angela S in the final, or Nigel and to have them as winners.

Bobby is so sweet.

I’d pay good money to see Layton but don’t think he should have been on Strictly- not quite in the spirit imo. But the producers thought differently. Right result imo.

I agree about Layton, although I would never have voted for him he was really
phenomenal last night! There’s absolutely no denying that!

I was really glad to see that his Show Dance was quite calm compared to what I had envisaged. Apart from that one fancy back flip he did, I don’t think he over-egged it all. I think he set the tone just right to show off his dance skills without alienating the public.

I noticed Shirley (I think) was quick to jump in and defend Layton when Anton said, whilst giving them their feedback: “It’s just showing off.”

I also agree that is wasn’t fair that Ellie’s Show Dance got penalised because she didn’t get the lift right, but Nikita and Layton’s didn’t when Nikita ballsed up with the hat. It’s like the judges are saying they expect perfection from the Celebs but not the professional dancers.

Amanda A is an absolute nightmare. I've had to deal with her. She would never have coped with losing early on so not surprising she dropped out.

I did wonder if that’s the reason,I got that feeling straight away .
She didn’t come back for the final, Giovanni was great with Rose and has always got on with the rest of his partners he seemed quite down this series when he was standing up by Claudia. She pointedly never thanked him when she left, so that wasn’t very nice either.

I think she's famous enough to hold out for Dancing With The Stars and I'm sure she'd prefer that. Apart from anything else it's noticeably more money
