Why was everyone so worried from week one that Layton would be voted off despite it being obvious that it was never going to happen? There's never been a surer thing in the history of sure things. It would be like watching a biopic of Jesus and wondering if he ends up on a cross at the end, or Titanic and being shocked that the ship sinks. [/s]
I think it's one of the things that has made SCD less enjoyable for me this year and why I don't agree that the series would have been less without him. It's always been clear that he'd be in the final and the rest of it was just who would the other three be and then who would the other two be. To be fair to Layton the fact that I'm seriously ill might also have made me less than engaged with the show this year but I know other totally healthy people who've found it less enjoyable than usual this year, so I know it's not just me, but I also know that lots of people have loved it as well, so, you know, horses for courses and all that jazz.
