I remember the first series as having quite a complicated plot, and as is usual with me got a bit lost.

But it was an interesting blend of Irish crime noir and some Belgian noir as well!

It looks like it might be following on from series 1 in which case I hope they do a recap.

As I understand it, the woman she met with was the 'other' contender for the massive port contract, who had been blown out of the water by Evil Frances' consortium, but now would have free rein at it after Frances was arrested. So Bibi was in cahoots with this woman all along. But as I recall, she's barely featured in the series until then, so it seemed a bit of a deus ex machina.

From what they said to each other I did wonder if it was her, but as you say the programme maker went to great lengths never showing any connections!

But that Bibi ... she was very much involved in "directing" how the detectives were influenced.

Maybe another new detective will be reviewing the case and think there's more to this than they thought, and so series 3 will start.
