I never knew this whole story. I just insisted to DH that this is a Meatloaf song. I was sort of correct.

Someone mentioned Davood and Nadiya's ghostly rumba, which is better best forgotten to be honest. As much as I loved theor partnership, but he barely danced a step in that, and just did lunge after lunge after lunge. Shirley wasn't happy.

The judges seem to be trying to dig themsleves out of the Layton hole that the programme has created for itself: Once again Layton's dance seemed competely wonderful but MASSively wrong, given his clearly advanced professional skills. But this time the judges pretended it wasn't brilliant - just because of how increasingly absurd and infuriating it is becoming for him to rock up and put in his professional performance. Sucks all the joy out of the show.
