Is Neil tall enough for Bobby? I bet he'd step in Grin

Seriously though, I hope if she did want to go home to Australia she feels like she can and isn't under too much pressure to stay. Must be hard having family so far away.

Sunbird24 · 20/11/2023 21:32

Neil is apparently 23cm taller than Dianne 🤔

Her Dad's having chemo and her grandmother died recently too I believe, so maybe the emotions just got to her.

Maybe she was torn between wanting to stay in, and wanting to be able to leave to go home to Oz to be with her family at a tough time.

Oh that wasn't at her crying — it was her going out at a million miles an hour in the jive in the dance off. Making Bobby look even tireder.

I do feel sorry for her with that, she looked upset later on. It's such a long way as well — Europe you could probably squeeze in a visit.

What????!! 😂

I used to love it when I was young!

You need to YouTube it 😂

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2023 13:48

I've asked Alexa to play it and I do remember it now ! I Was never a destiny's child fan though.
I can see it working though as it kind of stops and starts like an AT does sometimes

I just realised what I thought was Bills, Bills Bills is actually Independent Woman Grin

CaveMum · 21/11/2023 13:59

Bills Bills Bills is an absolute choon! Not an AT piece though, so very strange.

Think Nigel could be in trouble. I foresee a lot of dry ice!

Isn't it always? (Or nearly always)

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2023 14:03

I thought it was that ' bills to pay ' song by ' cage the elephant'! That would have been worse than D C.

Or Nadiya?

MarkWithaC · 21/11/2023 14:26

I think Bills Bills Bills is a great AT song. However, Craig seems to have a bee in his bonnet this year about the ATs being stiff/jerky/not smooth and flowing, and I think this lends itself to a stylised sort of routine that might fall foul of him.

High hopes for Annabel with her new confidence and the Latin mojo she has hopefully kept from her samba.

Angela and Carlos: meh. Cliched song and I don't really like cha chas. It's a dull dance to give them just at the stage when they need to be wowing.

Bobby and Dianne: meh again. Is it a cover of the great Kate Bush?

Layton might be good; I liked his quickstep and am ready to see something more Hollywood and less sleazy from him. Nikita generally does a good old-Hollywood number.

Nigel is dead in the water, I'm afraid. I think they REALLY want rid of him.

What kind of couples choice do you think Bobby and Dianne are gonna go for? contempowaft?

I am also confused as to how this could fit with an AT. I’m very much looking forward to watching it and seeing what wonders Ellie and Vito can do with it.

covetingthepreciousthings · 21/11/2023 15:06

I wonder if they'll do a vocal free version of Bills Bills Bills, I can kind of see it working a bit. But still an odd choice really.

MeinKraft · 21/11/2023 15:08

Katya needs to choreograph a really filthy rhumba if Nigel is to survive

Tlolljs · 21/11/2023 15:09

I’ve just looked at the video in the other thread. Bills bills bills is a brave choice. Looking forward to seeing that.

xsquared · 21/11/2023 15:16

An AT to Bill's, Bill's, Bill's will be very interesting indeed! Another potentially excellent performance.

I'm staying optimistic about Nigel with rumba, because although it's a tricky dance for the male dancer, he a d Katya can definitely generate some romantic chemistry with the song choice. If they wanted to gain favour from Craig, then they could do one that's pure filth, but I doubt it with Nigel's wife and daughter watching! James and Ola did a rumba to this to the Meatloaf version, and they were hot, hot hot!

Not sure what couple's choice Bobby will do, but I'm guessing from the title of the song, it will be wafty and dedicated to Jade's memory.

Annabelle is better in ballroom than Latin, and to be honest, I think she got away lightly with the samba. Although it was wonderful to see her grow in confidence, the samba was a bit skippy and lumpy for me. I think Paso should be good for her, and her ballet experience will help her with the shaping.

Cha cha cha, just seems a but me at this point of the competition, but I'm sure Angela will deliver a perfectly competent performance. She has a decent party tune.

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2023 15:16

This woman's work is one of Kate Bush's worst songs ( sorry mumsnetters , I'm not keen, but I know it's a bit of an anthem etc)
Love her work and albums, but that song isn't one of my favs. They could have chosen so many others that she's recorded.

It'll be a waft fest, no doubt
I do like Bobbie , but seems his in danger

mydogisthebest · 21/11/2023 15:52

Just listened to the Bills, Bills, Bills song and think it's a pretty awful song and not suitable for an AT. Why can't they use proper music?

EsmaCannonball · 21/11/2023 16:08

Remember Dr Frasier Crane's agent Bebe Glazer? Bobby contempowafting to This Woman's Work is the kind of on-the-nose, shameless, ruthless tactic she would come up with.

Maireas · 21/11/2023 16:27

I loved Bebe. Particularly her shameless attempts to wed the elderly Southern millionaire gentleman.
