I think Nella is faking it to ensure she gets more screen time. She's clearly in to boost her career. She's the only one I've never heard of.

I don't think the camp is hungry enough for an eating trial yet. Once they've had three or four days of limited food, or rice and beans, they will be so desperate for food, that they'll need the chosen ones to do well

This is literally her personality but I get if you've never come across her you'll think that.... but this is her.
