I am liking Ellie as well .
She has such a lovely smile...we never saw it in Corrie !

The bit where the cops stopped in the street to talk to Michael and Stephen walked straight past them and hid behind a lamppost. Cunning 😂

Yes, that was so laughable!

Iwantacampervan · 15/10/2023 09:16

It's on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday this week due to rugby on Friday.

Deadringer · 16/10/2023 09:28

I thought the actor playing Stephen was very good. Gail is just happy because for once it wasn't her who introduced a serial killer into the family, and its a bonus that the golden child has lost his sheen, and then some. David is a treasure, I hope he never leaves.

Heliotroper · 16/10/2023 10:07

I am still trying to work out what Peter was doing driving his car onto Stephen. It was a miracle Jenny was not killed as well.

Moonbowlspoon · 16/10/2023 10:25

Anyone else think Weatherfield police should have their own spin off series?

No? Just me?

I’ll get my coat.

Heliotroper · 16/10/2023 10:59

Every week Weatherfield police have a new case to crack but they fail to do so

They could show Craigy, DS Swain, Jess, Spyder and silent extras sat around the nick spinning out clueless theories and hoping they get an anonymous tip off so they can arrest someone.

It would certainly be a twist on usual police shows.

Findyourneutralspace · 16/10/2023 11:16

I would totally watch a Weatherfield cop show 😂 Where they arrest teenagers for minor tantrums but leave the major criminals to the locals to catch.

On a side note, what’s going to happen to Peter? Is there a defence to murder if the person you killed is a serial killer?

Moonbowlspoon · 16/10/2023 11:20

I’m glad to see some support for the spin off. Might get a petition going.

I’m going to assume Peter will run the “defence of another” and “prevention of crime” arguments, that he thought Stephen was on a rampage with a broken bottle and so took him out.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 16/10/2023 11:42

Well, I’ve finally caught up… that was a mix of “Wow!” moments and pure farce at times 😁

Did Jenny never once think “I’d better tell the police I’ve got his passport, so not to bother with the airport?”

How much more evidence did Gail and Audrey need to stop saying “I know he’s swindled his own mother, his business partner and ex-fiancée (putting her in hospital in the process) and drugged a vulnerable woman causing her to have a psychotic episode, and that three people directly connected to him have disappeared in suspicious circumstances - with one of their bodies being found in a roof box identical to one he owns - but it’s a BIG leap to murder!”?

What was the quiche like? It’s notoriously difficult to get the pastry right? Did Jenny eat it on its own or add a salad; perhaps a few new potatoes to make it more of a meal? So many questions.

I also don’t get why people were trying to save Stephen after Peter ran him down. If I’d have been there I’d have stamped on his neck to finish the job.

eggandonion · 16/10/2023 11:54

In this house quiche goes with oven chips...or potato waffles. Posh quiche might need sweet potato oven fries?
A police spin off would be good especially if crime stuff was moved off proper corrie.I dont think anyone is in prison now? Dylan has potential to become difficult.
Will Stephen have a funeral or just be forgotten like poor Robert? If the Rovers is closed where will the Afters be...hotel or bistro?
Can Adam and Deedee deal with the Audrey and factory money...although Adam is part of Audrey's family and factory staff husband and Deedee is the sister of the footballers brother. I think.
Marys dil needs to come back for financial stuff.

Call it "Keystone Cops Ride Again"

Heliotroper · 16/10/2023 12:13

Peter should be charged with causing death by dangerous driving, his defence that he was trying to save Jenny seems pretty poor considering she nearly got mowed down too.

Heliotroper · 16/10/2023 12:15

Although Toyah got away with killing Imran and Abi should have gone down for possessing a firearm.

If you deliberately run someone over intending to kill them, it’s murder, not death by dangerous driving.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 16/10/2023 14:06

I predict Audrey will organise a funeral and the rest of the family will be conflicted about whether to go. Audrey will remind Nick and Sarah with a steely glare of how he took them both in and gave them opportunities when they were only teenagers - and will say “He was still my SON!!” a lot.

bizzey · 16/10/2023 15:15

I bet David will say ...his coffin should be a roof box or something!

CyanCrystalViolet · 16/10/2023 15:32

Didn't a similar thing happen in real life relatively recently? Someone was being attacked with a knife or something and a driver ran them over. I can't remember exactly what happened to the driver but I think they were in quite a bit of trouble?

eggandonion · 16/10/2023 15:35

I wonder if Stephen can be put in the grave with Alfie . George will have to advise

I hope Audrey makes a shrine for Stephen out on the street where he was run down

zanahoria · 16/10/2023 18:23

She could hang his horrible brown jacket there as a lasting trobute

WiddlinDiddlin · 16/10/2023 18:31

I suspect Peters defence is that he wanted to stop him, he didn't intend to kill him as that would have put Jenny at risk too... He of course wasn't to know the man had already had a hefty whack on the head. I reckon they find that its the bash on the head Sarah gave him that actually finished him off, not the car.

eddiemairswife · 16/10/2023 18:39

What was the point of Spider's return? I reckon the actor had been 'resting' for some time and the producer took pity on him.

eggandonion · 16/10/2023 18:42

I like Spider. The most unlikely police person ever. And Peter is great...I hope he is sent to prison for a while somewhere far away like Doncaster. Then gets let out in a miscarriage of justice thing.
Will Adam and Sarah get together again?
