involving gifted caterer-turned-parttime sleuth who likes to solve mysteries and murders and they always turn up where she does 😂

In the opener, her catering job at a high-end health club gets complicated when two bodies turn up at the spa and her niece becomes the prime suspect. As Mrs. Sidhu investigates, she invariably butts heads with the gruff Inspector Burton (Craig Parkinson), who has no use for this busybody. Until he does.

I did rewatch e1 again and actually wasn't that bad

Was she still driving that van like a whirling dervish with a licence? cos that really irritated me.

Her driving esp with lod copper in it was a bit silly

I used to listen to this when it was on radio 4 and really enjoyed it.

Have no idea what's happened to it in the transfer to television but find it plodding and dull now and frankly don't think it works.

Two hours is far longer than the plots so far warrant. I think it would be more entertaining, and bearable, if they cut out all the dross and just kept to the basic story line; an hour would more than cover it.

Very disappointing.

2hrs is long but it's ok watching over 2 nights

Started watching episode 4 tonight. Script is so bad, which makes me wince for the fabulous MS. But then Midsummer Murders, Rosemary & Thyme, Shakespeare whatevs are worse. Will keep watching for Meera... Her other stuff on Radio 4 is lovely

I've just finished this and loved it. The first episode was the weakest, but after that it was a delight.

She was enjoyable and annoying 😂
