I always get spatter. Thankfully lots of streams to cross on my favourite walk. I need 2 wees at least there. I wish I had the bladder of my youth.

You need a she wee!

Shekissedagirlandshelikedit · 03/05/2023 07:58

Cam's hair bobbling about 😆

He is an utter twat. Lyndall is such a catch. Beautiful, intelligent and loyal. It's sad that we only saw a defeated side to her for a lot of the show. I hope all her girls give Cam hell at the reunion and I hope Duncan sweeps in and nabs her.

I liked Evelyn and Rupert. They got to the point and got the hell out of there. No messing around.

Tahnee and Ollie are just amazing people. The youngest couple there but more compassion and maturity than most of the rest put together.

Rummikub · 03/05/2023 09:10

I liked how Ollie said they resolved arguments , very mature; by not focussing on self interest and instead focussing on being a couple.

Rummikub · 03/05/2023 09:13

Cheered when lyndall did her speech. And I don’t care who suggested it I’m glad that she didn’t let him do his.

I could see her with Rupert. Tbf most of the decent ones except Leyton.

Newestname002 · 03/05/2023 10:30

Yes I did a fist-bump when Lyndell had her say. In the preamble leading up to their last meeting it looked like she was still hanging onto a nonexistent possibility of a relationship with him so I was glad she was so clear with him, even quoting his favourite saying of "staying in my own lane".

I wasn't surprised by his hissy fit afterwards when she took the wind completely out of his sails by refusing to hear his speech. I can't imagine he'd planned on being kind.

And her laughter afterwards sounded so happy and free once she was done, as though a weight had been lifted. Good for her - the future is surely brighter for her without this negative person in her life. 🌹

I've sinned and watched ahead and can exclusively reveal that Cam's terrible man is hiding a dark secret - Voldemort lives in the back of his head.
Other brand new revelations - Dan is part dolphin on his mother's side and that's why the ocean called him and Harrison is a ChatGPT robot designed by the ghost of Steve Jobs.

Gah, I wish we had an edit button!
That should read "Cam's terrible man bun"

Aren't they millenials, not gen z?

This is a common misconception. Millennials are people born 1980-mid 90s. Really it should be Gen Y to fit the naming scheme and cause less confusion. Gen Z are the current 'young person' and teen demographic.

Honeyroar · 03/05/2023 11:20

It was just easier when we said they’re a 60s child etc!

I can admire lots about Evelyn but I still find her somewhat cold and confusing. She has a very clear idea of how things should be and Rupert never had a hope of getting it right. Why did she wait 6 weeks for him to ask her on a date? I think in Ruperts mind they were "married" so they could have planned to do things together surely?
They were so poorly matched. He is pretty awkward and needed a less intimidating match

I agree with all of this.

Much as I liked how Evelyn dealt with Harrison, Rupert was never going to work in a month of Sundays as her partner. She was formidable, always in charge of the narrative and could be cold and difficult to please. He always looked confused, like he'd won the lottery but didn't know how to spend the winnings. He was no alpha male, bless and she would need one.

As soon as the opportunity arose to dump him, on the last episode of course, she grabbed it with both hands.

Panfriedscallops · 03/05/2023 12:26

Sorry for not introducing myself. Have caught up after binge watching and love this/these threads almost as much as the programme. Hope you don't mind me joining you all

This is so true. I think his fate was really sealed when he met Evelyn's mother - another formidable, even though quietly spoken, person.

I also couldn't get used to him "talking smack" to this beautiful woman he was supposed to be wooing - eg asking her if she was wearing deodorant (was he saying she smelled?), describing the colour of her dress as pee coloured, talking about "skiddies", especially as she was eating at the time... querying, at the last dinner, whether she was attracted to him or not (after they'd very recently had sex). Nice guy, but out of his depth.

I'm obviously not hooked on this programme!! 🌹

Rupert's "Talking smack" was I think a very unsophisticated attempt on his part to bring her down to his level so he didn't feel as intimidated. He had no chance of levelling up.
Totally out of his depth. Awwww Grin

Not hooked either. No sir, not me <counts days to reunion eps> Grin

Yes - neither of those scenarios were ever going to work with this very confident lady. 🌹

murasaki · 03/05/2023 16:27

I'm cross that the reunion isn't this week, can't wait!

As is DP who thought 'that load of shit' (with which he does sometimes engage, so he can do one there) was over this week. Imagine his annoyance that there is more next week!

He has started doing a deliberate performative daily Cameron hug, so he was clearly paying attention at some point.

I kept saying on the last thread it was evident cam had a thing for tayla as when she joined he started leaving his hair down

Said it twice and no one even commented- I pick up on the very subtle! Clearly wasn't imagining it !

I think it was already discussed before you commented. I know I mentioned it the minute the camera showed him with his hair down at the flat.

He was also very quick to go after and hug Tayla when she walked off at the couples retreat, days after sitting on the couch and saying he struggled to hug Lyndall.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 02/05/2023 22:15

Actually that would be clever.

Instead I disguise my spattered trouser legs by being enthusiastic and heavy footed when crossing streams

not much wonder I fail at life eh? 🤣

I like your thinking

Panfriedscallops · 03/05/2023 22:05

I cheered when Lyndell gave that man-bunned herbert both barrels at the renewal.

Him and his straggly hair deserve Tayla all day long. Lyndell was one of my favourite brides. She deserved so much better.

I loved Ollie and Tawnee but my absolute favourites were Mel and Layton. I was in bits at their renewal.

I came to this series a MAFSA virgin after it was recommended and I'm hooked. It's so contrived and the ixperts were laughable at times, yet I saw glimpses of my own, oh so long marriage in some of the relationships.

I identified with Mel and Layton most, I even call DH my robot like Mel, though I'm not 9.5 not even on a good day

Layton is not a cold, avoider like Cam, he's caring and a good man at heart. He just makes serious decisions based on facts and is unemotional about them. I can absolutely understand why Mel would find this frustrating, god knows I do, but if you can look at it as a sign of integrity, that helps.

Paul2023 · 03/05/2023 22:26

I really wish Dan was paired up with Melissa, the sex addict.
Or for comedy value, she was paired with Harrison.

Bronte was so fake. She went 8 week’s arguing with the group that she wasn’t been emotionally manipulated. Yet she miraculously saw the light when her sister came long at the homestay , and said how she’s been played by Harrison all along.

No Bronte, you wanted to stay in the show for screen time. You knew exactly what you were doing, probably Harrison was in on it too.

Bronte was faker than a big bag of fake things.

dapsnotplimsolls · 03/05/2023 22:28

'Man-bunned herbert' 😁

Paul2023 · 03/05/2023 22:30

Such a shame that Dan and Cam turned out to be massive creeps. Both portrayed themselves to be these nice guys when in actual fact they are both nasty pieces of work.
Ive came across blokes like that before. Play the nice guy image , then find out their true colours. Both unlikeable , selfish , un caring tossers the pair of them.

Honeyroar · 03/05/2023 22:53

And the other guy. The one with the baby who wasn’t committed at all. Strange looking guy.
