Dans doesn’t like Sandy. He wants out the experiment but just hasn’t said it yet. He said he doesn’t find her attractive, yet slept with her that night.
He then went out for 7 hours on a ‘run /gym’ and ignored her. He’s treated her really badly.
Sandy is allergic to the sea water and Dan and his friend made it seem like a massive deal. Not everyone swims or likes the sea. It’s not a big deal. But Dan will use that as an excuse. Dan going to try gym for 6 hours isn’t exactly normal either. In normal life how would he have the time?

Wasnt Dans mate Georgia the one who mocked the Indian theme wedding at the start? Or said something mildly racist?

I wasn’t surprised that she dragged Dan outside for a chat to tell him that they aren’t right for each other. Considering she doesn’t know Sandy from Adam.

I think Sandy doesn’t want to be seen as a quitter ( maybe a cultural thing) and really wants to try at the marriage.

Dan is allowed not to like her but why do some of them always end up putting blame on their partner instead of just saying as it is? He tried to sound all diplomatic with you like to do X and I prefer y and therefore it doesn't work, but he presented himself as a super active guy with six hours of me time and her as a couch potato. Why is she the problem for not going on a six hour workout as a couple?

He's not facing up to the fact that he's using his workouts as an escape from what is the uncomfortable truth for him. He doesn't like her and has checked out and doesn't want to work at it but wanted to shag a virgin.

When he kept saying 'I can't believe you're making an issue about me going for a run' Sandy should have kept on about the 6 hrs. No one goes running for 6 hrs! He got off very lightly on that.

@PerfectYear321 Probably a bit of projected guilt over her own affair. I also think it’s a bit of insecurity. She wants Duncan fully with her on everything and to be really anti cheating, so there’s less chance of him doing it. Him being reasonable and having his own opinion worried her.

Also what's the big deal with having different interests? My husband loves winter sports and spends as much time as he can out in the snow or on his skis. I love staying inside where it's warm and dry with a book and large amounts of coffee. Somehow we've managed to be together for nearly 20 years and raise a kid like me, a kid like him and a baby.
I wish the Ixperts had access to the tapes from the week so could see the sort of gaslighting, argumentative, abusive shit some of the people come out with.

Tayla needs to start her redemption arc soon if she wants to stay in the show long enough to get some fame and an online career.

Was that Dan's friend? I thought it was his sister. I was disappointed she didn't pull him up on his bullshit. If one of my male friends or one of my brothers was sitting there whining he needed 6 hours to be active, and it was such a hardship his wife couldn't go in the sea - I'd tell him to get in the sea fgs. What happens if you develop an illness/condition that means you can't exercise Dan? Plus he doesn't want Sandy to go to the gym with him. She offered. He just doesn't like her. A bit like Cam, they can keep a mask of niceness for about two weeks then it slips.

Tayla is awful but I did wonder about Hugo's rankings. Not that he put Tayla near the bottom - that was hilarious. But that he put Sandy there. It made me wonder if racism is a massive problem in Australia? Because why would you put a cheat like Claire (which is all he knows about Claire atm) above a gorgeous, sweetheart like Sandy? Hmm.

I really hope he is! Thankfully my husband is a great role model so hopefully he won't turn out like Harrison and his ilk.

Anyone who can exercise for 6 hours a day (other than professional athletes of course) must be really dull.

Racism is still a huge problem in Australia. They had a white Australia policy for most of the 20th century (conveniently ignoring the fact that the original owners of the land are very much not white) and the hangover from that still permeates. A lot of it is still overt but there's also so much covert racism, eg it's clear Dan wanted a nice white European-Australian wife but can't say that out loud so has resorted to saying he's not sexually attracted to her and that they're not compatible because he likes exercise and she doesn't.

I think Sandy is beautiful and has great bone structure.
Now I'm reflecting on Tayla, the word height is far more likely than heart.

I knew about their history of institutional racism. I guess I'm just shocked that it means they genuinely can't see that someone is pretty/gorgeous if they're not white.
It's explaining some of the dynamics I've seen here in RL with Australians and other races. I'm feeling really naive!

I'm pretty sure Tayla said heart. She literally couldn't come up with one physical characteristic of Hugo that she liked. After the photo task, she'll be taking back that 'heart' comment too
