Anyone watching?

FBI agent with a back story, some sort of terrorism, the Secret Service, POTUS, Vice POTUS, assassins, etc.

Pretty good so far.

The only thing I don't like is the Natural Born Killers assassins side story. It's not adding anything. Or maybe the actress is just a bit annoying.

Off topic but 24 related, I’ve been recommended Rabbit Hole with Jack Bauer Kiefer Sutherland, showing episodically on Paramount- which is apparently good and twisty so far. Hopefully someone is chatting about it on TV addicts...

ZombieKettle · 02/04/2023 18:06

I really enjoyed it. Plenty of twists I didn't see coming. It got better and better with each episode. I found the lead actor quite bland at first but by the end I was really rooting for him.

blobby10 · 03/04/2023 11:12

I've binged watch this over the weekend - thought it was the last episode last night as everything seemed to be coming together with a nice body count and the baddies dead but then it said 2 episodes to go!!!! Its got me gripped and like @ZombieKettle I didn't like the lead actor at the start but he's grown on me - wish they hadn't followed the formulaic script where they two leads ended up in bed though - at least not until the end when everything is solved

thaisweetchill · 03/04/2023 11:19

Loved it! Hoping there's a second series.

cushioncovers · 03/04/2023 22:11

Just finished watching i enjoyed it.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 13/04/2023 11:29

I enjoyed it. Farfetched and you had to allow for some silliness but kept me watching 'just one more episode'. Was a bit cheesy and American ('I love my country!') but very watchable and would certainly watch a second series.

I did feel it flagged a bit in the last couple of episodes, they had to stretch to 10 episodes when 8 would have done. Was glad that the story about his father didn't work out as he hoped.

Wasn't crazy about the actress playing Rose. And didn't think the President looked like a President!

AiryFairy1 · 13/04/2023 11:41

I wasn’t a fan of Rose and her seemingly indestructible laptop, and also not the predictable romance 🙄 but otherwise it was watchable.

Am a few episodes in and still worried about the baby - did someone find it in time or did I doze off and miss that bit?

Otherwise enjoying it a lot!

yeah there's a comment made about the baby being found. I think it's in one of the final episodes. But a mainstream American goodies n baddies TV show wouldn't let a baby come to harm. A Swedish TV show might.

Terrribletwos · 13/04/2023 14:58

Yes, I was worried about the baby too but someone or other towards the end did comment that the baby had been picked up. Lol, I know it's fiction.
The series it itself was kinda enjoyable and suspenseful but not sure I would recommend. Th ere was quite a bit of artistic licence and the protagonist female squirming and changing wigs was a tad corny.

Ah thank you - been bothering me!

absolutelyknackeredcow · 13/04/2023 17:20

I really enjoyed it and it has been renewed for series 2 although whether we will have to wait for the next book remains to be seen/
I have questions about the finale - so when it is safe to do so

orangeflags · 13/04/2023 18:23

Thought it was awful. A poundshop 24

NC4785 · 14/04/2023 19:49

I loved this show! Though utterly baffled still why the Chief of Staff let herself get dragged into the whole mess. Seemed a major stretch

Clymene · 14/04/2023 19:52

I enjoyed it. Was entertaining and fast paced. And it passed the Bechdel test with flying colours which is a big plus in my book

neilyoungismyhero · 14/04/2023 19:54

We binge watched it over 2 nights. Really enjoyed it.

absolutelyknackeredcow · 16/04/2023 10:57

Spoiler question
At the end they seemed to just to want to kill
The president not the other guy. What was the point in doing that ?

Hels20 · 21/12/2023 08:23

Well, I really enjoyed this. High octane fun. Really pleased they have renewed for a second series. Thought Peter and Rose were good leads. Peter definitely reminded me of Matt Damon (less so Richard Madden). Thought the semi-twist about his father was interesting.

i missed the assassin couple’s reason why they couldn’t have sex? I thought the opening scenes with the baby were well played - and caught be my surprise.

the bedroom scene was predictable but I was rooting for them to get together.

GrouchyKiwi · 21/12/2023 13:10

I really liked it. A bit dumb in places, but well paced and I liked all the main actors. Diane Farr was cool, so I too found it unbelievable that she let herself get dragged into all the nonsense.

The actress who played Rose is a Kiwi. We're everywhere these days. Grin

I'm glad there's going to be a second season.

Puppupandaway · 09/11/2024 12:31

Bit late to the party but....we've just found this on Netflix and really enjoyed it! The characters definitely grow on you and I really liked Peter and Rose by the end. Gutted for Monks, old Wayne Palmer from 24. I thought the double and triple bluffing of Farr was clever, you never quite knew whether to believe her or not. Looking forward to the next series. It definitely felt like a mix of Reacher, 24 and Bodyguard, which isn't a bad thing!
