Who will go with them? Is there time for new bombshells? 12 days to go. Bring it.

Well not much to say to that, didn’t see much wrong with Ron’s comments as I’m sure Lana has enough emotional intelligence to know it was a piece of plastic that she made clear she wasn’t going to play unless she had to.

Rollergirl11 · 08/03/2023 22:05

Oh give it a rest Ron!

I thought Ron was an absolute cunt tonight. All those remarks about how shit Lana was as a parent, that he was a single parent, how she hadn't 'proved' to him that she was good with kids...WTF???

What an arsehole he is.

He is simply not interested in Lana. He can’t even hide it

I have to agree that Ron was overly smug and harsh to Lana. But Tom and Sammie weren't the best parents. Totally fixes to raise public opinion of them. Kai and Sanam are the only hope to stop Tom and Samie's win.

thecatsmeows · 08/03/2023 22:20

@Lampzade I agree with you... I also feel that Lana is increasingly bored with him, too. I think he kept needling her to try and cause an argument, but she had the sense to just ignore him.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 02:21

The boys crying Casey left is a bit much

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 02:41

Still got 15 mins left but Shaq getting a bit arsey after Tanya said about are you sure it's yours was stupid

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 02:43

Also so far I don't think what Ron said was too wrong or offensive considering we're talking about what's meant to be a fun activity and having a few jokes.

But he did just say something like " its really attractive when girls are good at looking after kids and you haven't done that at all" that felt a bit weird and I think Lana looked a bit put out by the comment

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 02:44

Also can't really explain it but when Will was with the kids it just felt creepy

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 02:57

Dunno how to take Ron's talk at the end saying he killed it and we can tell Lana isn't ready to be a mum. Again I think it was joking but it felt awkward.

Also I think it wasn't helped by Lana's reaction I feel her mood faltered so whilst it's awful to speculate on these issues I wonder If there's a story there?

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 02:59

I watch LI whilst doing something else. I don't remember Samie and Tom having an entertaining moment with the baby but then I guess that could be why they were the top parents.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/03/2023 03:01

With the PP being said I could somewhat see Lana being the least maternal. Sanam and Jessie seem motherly to me, whilst I could see Tanya and Samie being mothers in a different way. Maybe it's Lanas age but there's something about her when I see her on LI it doesn't scream mother to me

MyopicBunny · 09/03/2023 07:02

As far as I remember, whoever wins the baby challenge isn't the one who's 'baby' has recorded mishandling etc? Whizzing it down a slide wouldn't be the best thing to facilitate that 😂

MyopicBunny · 09/03/2023 07:03

Sorry that makes no sense. So whichever baby doesn't record mishandling - their 'parents' win.

I don’t get Lana and Ron, they kiss each other like old people 😂

Yes! I noticed this awhile ago. They never snog, just do a peck on the lips.

Last night's episode did Ron no favours. I think it's between Kai/Sanam and Tom/Samie to win it.

Raspberrywi · 09/03/2023 08:28

I wasn't maternal at all in my 20s to be fair, I had DS in my 30s and although I always think I'm not naturally maternal like some of my friends, I think I do a good job. Of course she might not want children which is also okay, not all women do. I don't think their kisses are that weird, perhaps they go for it in bed but if you're a bit more reserved might not want to do it where you know you're being recorded.

I really dislike Tom and Samie, i think she is a snake but acts brash so it seems like she's really upfront, and since the public perception task it seems like it's emboldened them to be smug. I would even rather Tanya and shaq won!

Boulshired · 09/03/2023 08:29

A plastic doll doesn’t indicate maternal,, I’d unscrew the battery and throw it in the bin. I also wasn’t really maternal until I decided I wanted a child. It’s a torture device rather than a representation of a child. Kai probably lost Ron the challenge when he robbed the chair from Lana

Boulshired · 09/03/2023 08:43

Some things from podcasts
kai and Sanam kiss a lot during the night and Kai is more funny than being shown.
keanan was told by the producers he could “pull” Rosy, they had a not shown 45 minute chat in the kitchen that gave him the impression she was up to go to know him so why he asked her on the terrace so was shocked by her response. Keanan and Rosey entrance was delayed due to weather.
the musketeers are friendly but when it’s the three of them they are closed off.

CellophaneFlower · 09/03/2023 11:14

I haven't watched it all yet, but found the Shaq/Tanya thing odd.

At first I thought he was joking, but then wasn't sure? Tanya became quite submissive, like she didn't want to poke the bear. Is it because she KNEW he was joking, as obviously she knows him better than us, therefore she didn't react? Was it because she ASSUMED he was joking (she didn't see his expression, as we did) as if he was being sincere it would be unbelievably ridiculous to react like that? Or did she know he was rattled and didn't want to provoke him further? If 1 of the latter 2, especially the last, that's extremely worrying.

Interesting. But regardless of any chat we weren't shown, I do think he was a bit deluded. He said to Claudia "she said she's 100% focussing on Casey at the moment, but says we get on. What does that mean?". If he can't work that out, he probably needs things spelt out more clearly.

Didn't want to poke the bear this close to the end I'm guessing. A few weeks ago she'd probably have chucked a wobbly.

I mean it was only a couple of weeks ago that Tanya was kissing another guy in bed, so I can see how the joke might not have been well-received by Shaq

I guess if you look at it a bit more but on the surface making a joke about a toy doll seemed off

Lilybetsey · 09/03/2023 12:51

I thought it was tone deaf of Tanya to make that 'joke' and I'm not that surprised Shaq was a bit pissed off !
