An idea of TwoMonthsOff and it's a good one.
A lot of us might be a bit older or just like old films/movies.

I liked so many. I saw a monologue years ago by someone who told Richard Burton's story as Richard Burton. I'm pretty sure the actor became famous? He was amazing. I saw another but Marlene Dietrich that time. Also mesmerising.

Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn are my favourite "older" actors. Unsurprisingly The Philadelphia Story is therefore one of my favourite older films.

(My all time favourite classic is Its a Wonderful Life though.)

So many of them but my absolute favourite has always been Anthony Quinn. I saw "a High Wind in Jamaica" as a teenager and was smitten. Still am. 😁

I loved Margaret Lockwood in that film about the highway woman as a child.

Vivienne Leigh, Olivia de Havilland, Audrey Hepburn, Laurence Oliver and Oliver Reid were great actors and nifty just beautiful to watch.

I loved Margaret Lockwood in that film about the highway woman as a child.

‘The Wicked Lady’ - loved it! Biggest UK film of 1946. Apparently in its day, it was considered a highly risqué film and the US demanded censorship for some scenes where the bodices were cut too low.

GoodbyeMrChips · 30/01/2023 19:05

I remember realising that Joan Fontaine and Olivia de Havilland were sisters, which blew me away! JF was 96 when she died and ODH was 104!
