Just pouring the wine & putting out the biscuits for tonight.. help yourself.

OP posts:
stillvicarinatutu · 11/10/2022 22:57

I think it's ironic that Tom called everyone else fake when it's clear he's just not got what he wanted. Felt a tad sorry for him tonight though . However I do think he needs to learn how to listen without flouncing and shouting shut up bitch !

PoundShopPrincess · 11/10/2022 23:23

Well done Adrian! I'm so glad he called them out.
Matt is deluded if he thinks any of the others are jealous of him and Whitney. They've both repeated their previous patterns by picking someone they lust after and that won't last. Matt and George were both so aggressive tonight, there was a point I wondered if the producers would send security in. April looked genuinely tearful when George and Matt were shouting. Maybe she's had an abusive ex. That was all deeply unpleasant.
And I've no idea why Johnathan had a go at Thomas for answering the question from the honesty box. Ffs even Johnathan and Sophie aren't sure they will last but he was annoyed that Thomas didn't pick them as a couple he'd definitely see staying together. George, Matt and Johnathan are like mean jocks from an 1980s teen movie. It's interesting Sophie aligned herself with them. Whit and April will be teaching her how to ignore Johnathan's red flags and pretend they're romantic instead. Hmm

Bluetrews25 · 12/10/2022 05:36

Matt's the sort who will get women pregnant all over town, pay nothing, and be controlling and abusive all the time. He will have 'psycho' exes.
Watch out Titney, because you seemed wide open to getting pregnant. That would be such a mistake.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 12/10/2022 08:53

this show has nicely showed how many such aggressive men there are: Matt, George, Tom

Grotbag81 · 12/10/2022 09:08

I think Thomas was causing drama to get the screen time & as soon as he got called out last night & couldn't get away with it he's flounced.

Are we allowed to talk about this stuff now??

PoundShopPrincess · 12/10/2022 10:51

There's a spoiler and a no-spoiler thread. This is supposed to be the no-spoiler one but some posters get mixed up a lot.

I don't think Thomas is in the same ballpark as Matt and George tbh. He didn't get in people's faces except the incident at the girls' night - where he was out of order. But generally Thomas didn't try to physically intimidate and threaten others. There's a latent homophobia in a lot of the people calling him out. And for some of them, it's not so latent. It's no coincidence that the ones who complained about Thomas last night were faking and lying through the entire process. And had zero empathy when Adrian and Thomas said they were leaving. George cried on Adrian's shoulder throughout but as soon as Adrian stopped George throwing Thomas under the bus for April, George turned completely on Adrian.

Matt and George were deliberately trying to physically threaten Adrian and Thomas. Matt did the same with Zoe. As if Thomas, Adrian, Zoe and Jenna won't have dealt with a million would-be hard men like Matt. Depressingly there's a heck of a lot of them about.

CorporateBull · 12/10/2022 10:59

It’s not a zero sum game. Thomas behaved appallingly at times by any objective standard. But so did Matt and George. All of them spoke aggressively to women.

TitsInAbsentia · 12/10/2022 11:25

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah typed a long message and lost it! It went something like....

Whitney mentioned the jouuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrnneeeeeeeeeeeeeee (and fried it to within an inch of it's life!). Doesn't matter where you go from here Whit-the-tit (am sure we've seen more of those boobs than her surgeon ever did) you and Matt will never be a MAFS success story as you weren't matched by the ixperts, so grab those vibrator promotion gigs while you can hun, you aren't going to be around for long.

I suspect Matt was shocked that Adrian spoke to him like that, I'm sure his appearance stops a lot of people speaking out - I have liked Adrian from the start, massive respect to him, although I couldn't help hoping he was also going to spill whatever he didn't say about George a few weeks ago..I'm still hoping he will.

Think the next few nights are going to be a bit dullsville, I didn't realise the show is on next week too, how are they going to fill it out?

PugInTheHouse · 12/10/2022 11:31

I am a bit shocked people on this thread seem to be letting Tom off for his horrendous behaviour. He has been vile to many people, often without them doing anything first. No one likes what Matt and Whitney have done and have told them in mo uncertain terms. Same re George/April.

Tom is awful. I just cannot see him any other way but coming on this thread i feel I am missing something.

I agree. I did quite like Thomas at the start, he was entertaining and seemed like he had a good heart. But my God - he has behaved awfully on every single episode.

Yutes · 12/10/2022 12:03

I just feel with Thomas and Adrian that all the emphasis has been on what Thomas needed, so there was no space for them to work on what Adrian needed. I really liked them as a couple.

Matt and Whitney, I think they’re missing the point that he really SHOULD have regretted how they treated Gemma.

why did Johnathan say all those things he said without REALLY saying them to Sophie?

George and April, I’ve never liked them as a couple.

Lots of raising of voices. I have some theories but I’ll save that

I totally agree. I was beginning to think he was OK when Adrian was having a calming influence but he's terribly immature- pulling faces and turning away when people are talking like he's a 7 year old. Agree he's said some horrible things to people and seems to come to every dinner party looking for a fight. How on earth he's a mental health support worker I don't know
Did someone say it continues next week? Please no!!! Does that mean they're dragging the vow renewals out, like one per night or something? I was thinking I'd be free from my mafs prison by Thur night!!!

marmiteadict · 12/10/2022 12:57

@emilyjeff just Monday and Tuesday next week. I've done a breakdown on the spoiler thread.

Posted on here but not sure if it was allowed.

PaddingtonsHat · 12/10/2022 13:08

Catching up. I’m no prude but until I watched this show I’d never seen so much boob.

Dave20 · 12/10/2022 13:14

As much as Thomas can be horrible and a real diva, I’ve seen a kind and serious side to him too.
The way he ended it with Adrian was really well done. And the others were really quite disrespectful to them when they announced it to the group.
Why though was Adrian so reluctant to end it? It’s almost as though he wanted to carry on until the end and remain married but just friends with Thomas.
What made Adrian keep writing stay ? Maybe loyalty?
I imagine he’s a loyal friend to have.

PoundShopPrincess · 12/10/2022 13:23

I'm not trying to change anyone's minds. I'm just trying to explain mine. Smile
I view Thomas shouting from his place at the table (at everyone regardless of sex, size and orientation) and flouncing - very differently from Matt and George deliberately invading certain people's physical space, using height to intimidate (always people they perceive as smaller and weaker than them) and being aggressive.

Kwame broke the news about the Whitney/Matt/Gemma triangle and Matt said nothing to him. But he stood in Zoe's space shouting at her. Matt made that joke to Whit about Duka but he didn't say anything to Duka. Matt is the worst type of man imo - a weak bully. I have a visceral reaction to Matt and George. I'd be worried if I was in a room with them. I've watched MAFS for years. Last night was the first time I wondered if they had security nearby because I was worried about how George and Matt would escalate.

I wouldn't be frightened of Thomas. He wants people to hear him - which is exhausting and self-centred. He lacks emotional regulation which is wearing. But he often tells the truth and he flounces out. Matt and George move into people's space. They want to stop people- they don't respect - from talking. And to them, that seems to mean people who are female and /or gay and/or telling the truth.

And to be clear, I wouldn't want to be married to anybody this season. For a while, I thought Adrian would be my pick but I couldn't cope with no physical contact for that long ... maybe if I'd been married 20 years but not in the honeymoon period 😁In fact the only one I'd marry this time round is the male expert and his lovely jumpers!

batshitballs · 12/10/2022 13:41

They're all vile. Attention seekers, wannabe divas

Cant get behind anyone this year

I barely care any more. Silly show been ruined

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 12/10/2022 13:56

What an absolute bunch of choobs. Honestly would rather go to the dentist than sit through any more. I'll watch the last few episodes for the sake of this thread though obviously.😆

Twospaniels · 12/10/2022 20:18

Anyone else think George is in some kind of awe of Matt? In real life they would never be friends or talk to each other. George seems to be trying to be ‘mates’ with Matt when in real life he would probably be a bit scared of him and would steer clear. They would never meet in the same social circles.

I work in mental health and would love to know what Tom’s role is. I really can’t see him in the MH teams that I know.

@emilyjeff just Monday and Tuesday next week. I've done a breakdown on the spoiler thread.

Posted on here but not sure if it was allowed.

I'll risk it (used to getting told off!):
Tonight - getting ready for vows
Tomorrow - vows
Monday - Final dinner party
Tuesday - final meeting with ixperts

And for anyone watching Unveiled this Sunday is ep 7 of 8 so we have a final closing episode of that to come.

Peachspangle · 12/10/2022 21:02

Only getting ready for vows?😳Can I last?

Sunbird24 · 12/10/2022 21:04

i keep saying I can’t be bothered with it, but still here I am again 🤦‍♀️
