Lara is just so classy and dignified.
I really hope that she can find what she wants.

kwame, he’s focusing on the “I told you you were attractive “ without really seeing that it was because he held Kasia at arms length.

Zoe and Jenna. Lovely big smiles on their faxes

I wonder whether some of the post production editing happened in light of George's behaviour and subsequent arrest, both with Matt and George for damage limitation. I suspect April will come out as one of the women who have reported George for his behaviour, and given it's nearly a month since he was arrested (and I suspect again it had been rumbling on for longer than that) the production team need to save face and not show some of the more red flaggy moments.

It would also explain why on Unveiled AJ didn't question April about why the relationship had ended - it was just a brief 'are you together' 'no' 'okay then about Thomas' which she was grilled on far more. You'd expect if things were amicable April would have been asked more questions about why they'd ended but it could be that she either can't say for legal reasons or because it was traumatic and they've been asked not to.

I skipped the last episode and went straight to Unveiled for post reunion chat.

My favourites of the series were by far Zoe and Adrian. They provided the emotional maturity and comedic value. Zoe and the eggs made me laugh out loud. Adrian just seems the purest of souls. I also really liked Lara and Chanita.

Least favourites were Matt and George. Matt for obvious reasons and George because I spent 7 years with a George and it's taken me over a year to really get over how traumatic it was when someone pushes their needs, issues and ideologies onto you and blames you for everything. Wasn't keen on Johnathan either.

Thomas was a very marmite character for me, he made me laugh and made me roll my eyes. Jenna I liked but was quieter so couldn't really form much beyond, yeah she's okay, Jordan I was totally ambivalent about. Kwame meh, Kasia I did like too. Duka is gorgeous but I'd never be able to cope with the performative speeches. April just isn't my bag at all, we'd have nothing in common. Whitney I felt sorry for more than anything, as I did with Gemma, but ultimately felt they should haven't been on the show. Richie gave me the absolute heaves. PJ I can't really remember, Jess was a bit of a hot mess. Sophie was sweet but coddled by her family.

I don't understand why they only arrested George recently when his ex gfs said they reported him ages ago.

Because when it came out in the papers some panicked Superintendent in his local force will have told someone to get him arrested so it looks like they've done something and are taking it seriously. Same panicked Superintendent will have shown no interest when these things were initially reported but now it may affect their hoped for promotion they know they've got to be seen to do something.

PoundShopPrincess · 19/10/2022 10:35

That was what I wondered about George but tbh usually even publicity doesn't make the police take DV or EA seriously.
I also wondered if they suddenly acted because April made a new complaint so that added more pressure since they met on TV.

TitsInAbsentia · 19/10/2022 10:54

So do we think the dinner party was deliberately put out earlier as an excuse for not showing us the 'good stuff'? Just listened to the MAFS hysteria interview with Chanita and she mentioned it going out early so wasn't sure what they'd show.

username345 · 17/10/2022 21:28

That was very disappointing. I thought it was going to kick off but it didn't.

It has to be re-edited at the last moment due to the time slot being moved to before the watershed.

I wonder how Katie feels about Thomas being Adrian's bezzie?

T&A don’t speak any more so I guess she’s fine!

XanaduKira · 19/10/2022 11:06

How do you know @GetRidOfIt? They said last night on Unveiled that they do but if they don't, I'm glad, as Adrian should stay far far away from him.

Thomas did a Q&A on IG a couple of days ago.

XanaduKira · 19/10/2022 11:19

So pleased for Adrian @GetRidOfIt - thanks for the update.

CorporateBull · 19/10/2022 11:36

Thomas’ line is ‘there’s a lot of love there but we don’t communicate well’. And he’s removed all the tags from his Insta.

Another one thoroughly pleased for Adrian that that happened. Poor man didn’t get to say a word in last night’s episode. He spent the whole time there as Thomas’ counsellor. Although he is very positive about the whole experience on his own Insta.

bibliomania · 19/10/2022 11:43

I totally agree that there must have been a lot of last-minute editing based on legal advice. They went as bland as they possibly could, partly to avoid compromising an ongoing police investigation, but mostly to avoid the show being exposed for facilitating abuse. A bit of scandal they like, but facilitating criminal behaviour is not the publicity they want. (Purely conjecture - not based on any background information).

TitsInAbsentia · 19/10/2022 15:06

Just got to the end bit of unveiled...christ that singing (apart from Adrian who has a lovely set of pipes)...I mean pick a key, any key, and stay in it!

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 19/10/2022 19:10

Thank feck this series is over. If we want the same level of entertainment in it's absence I suggest slapping ourselves in the face with a white muscle vest. This thread has been the only good thing about it😁

Strawberrybelli · 19/10/2022 19:58

I really really couldn't put myself through that again for the last episode. I watched Farmer wants a wife but came back here to check on your chat during the adverts...Grin Still, shouldn't be too long now before the next Aussie one....

Sunbird24 · 19/10/2022 19:59

I caught up on the bit I fell asleep for yesterday then wished I hadn’t bothered…

PaddingtonsHat · 19/10/2022 20:10

Titney actually cried. Actual real tears. Didn’t think I’d ever see that

JaneJeffer · 19/10/2022 23:48

I finally caught up with the September thread and can't believe Sheldon had to leave because people couldn't shut the fuck up about spoilers Angry

Yes, none of that weird dabbing under her eyes with her long talons! Proper tears. I actually felt sorry for her which I thought I'd never say

LikeTearsInRain · 20/10/2022 08:25

Absolute pile of shite.

Hope they all bore off now and get back to real life instead of becoming influencers.

Especially April, she is desperate to be famous. The childish pretty girl crying whenever she is challenged, probably learnt as a child to get away with things, is painful.

Awe you reminded me of my DC when they were little. They were always slightly surprised by crying and would say 'look! it's real tears mummy!' whilst trying to catch tears on their fingers.

Whitney's tears and her comment that a lot had happened between her and Matt (when the experts were trying to push them back together) made me wonder just how bad it had got between them.

XanaduKira · 20/10/2022 15:16

I wondered the same @PoundShopPrincess

TitsInAbsentia · 20/10/2022 16:31

I couldn't work out if that was her crying face or she's so botoxed up her face can't move. It was horrific!
