Do you remember when Len used to complain about there being too many lifts in a routine? I am beginning to see his point, especially when it’s all lift and hardly any dancing!

My take: the Strictly voters aren't as enamoured with the sugary interminable Disney bollocks as the producers seem to think they are. They should limit themselves to one Disney routine per series (and that includes pro dances and Musicals Week).

Fleur won me over in Week One. I thought she was going to be exciting but the last two weeks have been dull, dull, dull.

The viewers don't hate-vote people off the show; they vote for who they enjoyed the most. This may be spun as a public revolt against same-sex dancing and a black Ariel but in reality one dance was utterly dire and the other was instantly forgettable.

That Elvis 'I'm Evil' song always reminds me of Rik Mayall. 'So look out you squares/I'm an angry young man/I once showed my willy to Princess Anne.'

I always thought Mad About the Boy was about James Cagney but I googled it and apparently it's Douglas Fairbanks Jr. I said Nikita looked like him in that quickstep. Do I win a prize?

So with Kai and Giovanni out, I now only have Vito to lust over.
