The Chloe character - 🤔🧐very odd.
What exactly does she do ?
Why was she made a member of the "7th floor" team ?
Initially when she was mistaken for an interpreter did she say she didn't speak Mandarin or Cantonese ?
Then at the embassy did she say she didn't speak Mandarin ?

SoupDragon · 30/08/2022 10:09

It is a frightening concept.

The way technology is progressing it's plausible too, which I think makes it scarier.

the80sweregreat · 30/08/2022 11:14

Maybe the politician is dodgy ?
His wife picked up on him being stilted in the first interview they faked.
However, that doesn't explain away the interviewer and how they changed her narrative , so I'm probably wrong there
I still feel it's someone helping inside the bbc. Tampering with the connections or something on the cameras or software.
Maybe they should make him do an interview in a different studio for some other channel to see if it happens again ? But not broadcast it ?
That would be easy to do.

She said she didn't speak Cantonese but knew a smattering of Mandarin.

Caught up with both episodes so couldn't look at the thread till now !

It's gripping , I'm loving it . Not sure why the reviews aren't very good , critics obviously have no taste 😆

Isaac Turner is too squeaky clean. I do not buy it. He looks so innocent.

Justanotherwinter · 01/09/2022 10:39

Also another one that doesn’t think Isaac is dodgy
i think frank isn’t doing anything dodgy either I think people are slowly turning against him

i don’t trust DC tan
one thiny I didn’t catch in the last season is if they are cia / mi5 / mi6?

Egghead68 · 02/09/2022 04:20

Why was my message deleted? There was no spoiler. The US guy was shown going into a radiology department in hospital in the last episode. Reasonable to assume he may have cancer.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/09/2022 06:40

@Egghead68 don’t know why was deleted

agree with you. I think maybe he is dying

he was def cross about being seen /followed

Oh I don't know j don't remember seeing anything untoward on here in the last few comments

SoupDragon · 02/09/2022 10:50

Bit bizarre - I remember you saying about American Man having cancer but that was implied by his visit to the Radiotherapy department. I don't know if you said anything else in the post.

i wonder who reported it?

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/09/2022 12:28

Very strange

he’s obv ill. I said that in my long winded post

Really enjoying this second series - having only watched the first series last week. This is an upgrade. The climax to Ep 2 was genuinely hair raising.

But hilariously it feels - thematically / philosophically - like a precursor to another show starring Paapa Essiedu, The Lazarus Project, where a secretive organisation has the power to change a lot more than images on screen. Very entertaining and worth watching for comparison.

lazymum99 · 04/09/2022 13:45

BBC have put this weeks up on iPlayer. For those of you who want to watch this afternoon to avoid a clash with Ridley!

rosegoldwatcher · 04/09/2022 13:49

I've watched Eps 3 and 4 this morning.

No spoilers from me just saying that I am finding the whole thing terrifying and that Paapa Essiedu is mesmerising.

DuncinToffee · 04/09/2022 14:10

I have watching finished series 1 and episode 1 of S2 makes more sense now. Will catch up with E2 before tonight.

I thought Paapa Essiedu was great in the Lazarus Project, look forward to seeing more of him.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2022 14:52

Im working tonight so will watch capture but will have to watch itv Ridley tomorrow so will avoid from 8pm

I thought Paapa Essiedu was great in the Lazarus Project

I like him in an expensive suit being the cleverest person in the room. Gangs of London was an ecstatic experience - but I think he’s even better in The Capture channelling supreme sardonic disdain.

SoupDragon · 04/09/2022 15:28

I loved the Lazarus project. Great entertainment I thought.

i don't recall having seen Paapa Essiedu in anything before.

MuddlerInLaw · 04/09/2022 15:38

Hamlet, RSC, Guardian review. Was glorious!

I May Destroy You. You can’t have missed that??? TV event of the century.

Gangs of London, as mentioned above. More adrenalin than a body has a right to.

Trying to think of anything I’ve forgotten … He’s a quite astonishing actor and getting better and better.
