Not sure if anyone is still about. I’m sure this thread will pick up again when the show starts but I was wondering, we know the Kennedys, Toadie and Paul are back. If there is lots of new cast, which who would you like these characters to be if they are from the past.

I was thinking Lolly Carpenter could come back and take over the waterhole.

I saw Hendrix in a trailer for something, which really confused me...

Oh I think he’s in that new show with Shane Ramsay! I’ve not seen the trailer though. Did it look good? Is it a dark drama ?

I actually don't want any of the old-old cast coming back. It worked for the finale as it was like the end of an era.

This time it's a new series moving forward, so if any of the previous cast (except the "magnificent four") can't make it back then I look forward to seeing a new direction and new characters.

I kinda just meant old characters, potentially with new actors.

I know what you mean. I think there are certain set dynasties that you can bring people in from eg the Robinsons, Ramsay, Willis, Kennedys etc. so random offspring or cousins will always be part of it.

I don’t think I’d like it to be just the core 4 and all new families/characters with no connection but I think that would be unlikely as the connections are a big part of the plot lines.

What if Tad moved back and his wife looks exactly like Sonya and Eve could play her? 🤣

Or Phoebe’s daughter Hope could return?

I could see Elly dumping Chloe and buggering off with Shaun again like the dickhead she is. I never understood people shipping them. If Chloe was going to get together with anyone it should have been Leo.

I thought the whole Elly and Chloe thing unhealthy... Actually Chloe and Nicolette was unhealthy too.

Are the sets going to be the same I wonder? I at least hope they’d still have outside shots of Ramsey Street. I guess they could do a whole new school set easily enough.

I think they dismantled the sets, didn't they? But presumably they're not too difficult to rebuild.

The street and the houses will still be there as it was an actual street. however in not sure if they'll have the same filming rights/agreements as apparently the residents were all too happy for it to end and they weren't happy with the recent proposal that their street was a heritage site - luckily that got turned down by the council.

The interior were sets, so I assume they still have all that to create houses.
