Stranger Things suitable for a 13 year old?

Just a quick question re Stranger Things, would it be okay for an emotionally mature 13 year old to watch?

I'm quite easy going with regards to language but it would be sex scenes or abusive scenes that would be a no for me .

I don't know anything about it. Her friends watch (of course 🙄) it's something I'd quite like to watch with her!

Thank you

My 17 y/o & I are pre-watching S4 to see if suitable for my 14 y/o.
His opinion - it's less scary 'as it's a new Dr Who type monster whereas the whole Upside Down is considerably more scary as a concept'. True.
But S4 is certainly MUCH more gory: lots of in-air Torture. Visceral sound effects
Genuninely- unneccessarily - horrible. (now, I'm a wuss anyway)
But my 17 y/o agrees.

Thanks @54isanopendoor

Is season 4 the end of it?

I don't think I'll let her watch for now anyway. We'll finish season 2.

It's a shame if it has become about the gore, because the kids' stories and friendships are the main part for us. Them overcoming evil etc.

I'll have to see how it goes, but there's plenty of gore already - for me!

Oh god yeah not to mention the thought of a gateway to the upside down.

I think it would have been better explored without the flesh eating plant faced monsters, but appreciate am series 2...

My Ds is 13 and has watched and loved them all, he didn’t find s4 any scarier than other seasons
