I heard they did, and she cried. Is this true? Who actually did the knicker yanking - if true - and why? And where?
Sounds horrible!

They did, i thought it was appalling, they though it was funny, she just looked intimidated, she could have had a towel on or anything, cant bear those two

Blu · 22/11/2004 16:50

WTF!

I used to wonder about getting freinds to nominate me so that I could get ££££ of free clothes, but I may be changing my mind

aloha · 22/11/2004 16:51

Who did they do it to and why???? Was it in that cubicle with the mirrors?

Shock
MrsLevine · 22/11/2004 16:53

yep i think it was because she had vpl, i cant remember the exact moment but i remember they were round her ankles and she looked stunned, i was suprised she didn't sue

mummytummy · 22/11/2004 16:55

I haven't heard this, but I think those too have started to go too far anyway. The last one I watched was the mum of twins that was in tears in the changing room - I thought they were being awful to her. I saw them on Jonathan Ross a while back, when Robbie put Tranny (is it me, or has she started to look like Ricardo from The Salon) in her place.

yeah - saw this. I think it was in a changing room of a shop, wasn't it - and it was for VPL. At the time the woman was shocked but laughing a bit and later got upset IIRC.

aloha · 22/11/2004 17:23

I know this is beginning to sound purient but I want to refer to it as a BAD THING in a feature I'm writing....so tell me....you didn't get to see her bum on national telly, did you?? I used to prefer the first series of WNTW as it seemed a bit jollier and kinder.

i'm sure i read an interview with trinny by you recently aloha, can't remember where now though!

vict17 · 22/11/2004 17:24

I saw it and TBH the woman wasn't crying about that incident. I think if you're going to mention it in an article Aloha shouldn't you have seen it? (sorry if that sounds a bit school-marmish!)

From here

"Do you ever think you've pushed someone too far? Any regrets?
Trinny: no. There are moments on this show when I was really tough but it did make them take another look at their lives.
Susannah: there's one thing I did in this series which, when I watched it again, I was quite shocked by. Basically, I pulled this girl's knickers down from under her skirt. Afterwards I thought: 'What was I thinking?'
Trinny: the lady, Sara (see picture above) had a blind spot. I was really tough with her too. She was shocked but it made her sit up. She was so passive, then she got really angry with us. We wanted to help her so much and we knew we wouldn't be able to until we'd broken through in some way. "

aloha · 22/11/2004 17:29

I did interview her and thought she was actually quite nice - we talked babies! However, I think (and it sounds like she thinks) that pulling people's knickers down on TV is too much.
Should I have seen it? Ideally, yes, but if it happened, it happened whether I saw it or not! I was probably too busy enjoying Property Ladder, where Sarah Beeny never bullies anyone, though she must be dying to sometimes .

Here too

spacemonkey · 22/11/2004 17:30

I thought she came across as a nice person in your interview, much nicer than I expected

SoupDragon · 22/11/2004 17:30

Try this Google search in fact

aloha · 22/11/2004 17:38

I tend to like anyone who is so besotted with their baby! Also, she's not totally self-centred (and I've met plenty that are) and she's had a few humbling experiences along the way which is very humanising. So it's not a hatchet job on her by any means - actually, it's not even about her - just making a passing reference to extreme moments on TV and wanted it to be correct.
