Have already booked dd in for her booster and ds for his first MMR on the same day. Buying a grate load of Calpol!!!!

Had an argument with clinic though as they wouldn't do ds till he was 1, despite there being an epidemic due this winter.... Was quite cross as it was only 2 weeks before his birthday. I am a great believer in vaccines. He had his TB one when 12 hours old!

Twig, the idea that more separate jabs = more opportunity for children to fall through the net isn't necessarily blaming parents. It's just about what actually happens in the real world where people are busy and don't always have the same priorities as others. Yes, some people are highly motivated and will finish the course. But lots of others don't. And that leaves a pool of potential infection in the community.
And I have to 'fess up here and say that because I still haven't made my mind up ds is one of the unvaccinated ones. Must do something about it...

Then only bring in separate jabs for those who specifically request it - the chances are the parents who are bothered enough to request it (especially if a nominal fee to cover extra costs - £5 per jab maybe?) are the ones that are likely to be motivated enough to complete the course.

(having said that, ds1 had the MMR and ds2 will as well - it was the mercury free DTP jabs I fought tooth and nail for).
