So I was just wondering what everyone thought about Mr. Big been cut from the last episode of just like that?
Obviously this has been done in light of the allegations, which I do understand, however as far as the story and the characters are concerned I am a little bit sad that he won't appear because from what has been described his appearance would've been quite meaningful. Please understand that when I making these comments I'm not talking about the actor or any allegations. I'm just talking about the story.

It does seem the show has veeeryyyy much taken side of him being guilty.

He was only on the first two anyway wasn't he ? Confused

Well Cynthia Nixon released a comment saying they were lucky to have been able to edit him out of the finale. I believe he was supposed to have come back to Carrie in some way!

I think it’s a scene in Paris where he told her he loved her in the final episode of the original SATC so would have been significant - basically her saying goodbye - so I wonder if it might feel strange without him there.

Ahhh I see! Do you know how many episodes are in the season?

It would've been fitting to the show and Carrie and their relationship to have had that moment.

I think there are ten episodes, two to go! Yeah I agree - it would have been more impactful having him there.

He is Big, not Mr Big.

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2022 12:46

@Billlius

He is Big, not Mr Big.
Incorrect

I think regardless of what they thought, they’d be on the side of “we don’t want to get slammed for still including him, it would be more hassle than it’s worth.”

@SickAndTiredAgain oh yes I totally agree. I just feel sad for the story and the characters.
I've been a long time satc fan, I even wrote my dissertation on it at Uni (😅😅😅) so felt that would've been so fitting. But stepping outside of the narrative I do get the decision.

I don't know. Part of me does feel uncomfortable that someone has been so easily 'cancelled' when they haven't been through a court of law, been on trial etc. I know it's been more than one woman to come forward but why after all this time etc. I would've liked to have heard the details and him to face 'proper' justice, not just trial by media/cast members.
