Anybody watched/watching it? So much I want to discuss. I have loved every second of it:

Ringo - hilarious but clearly struggling with alcoholism
Yoko - sat chilling in the middle of rehearsals. Controlling or just so in love? I am quite impressed with her inability to feel any awkwardness at her being a spare part
Paul - how the hell can he write songs that quickly?
John - what was his deal?
Mal - the road manager. What a trooper!
Glyn and George the producers - how annoyed were they getting with them but had to keep it zipped!

So much more but would like to hear what others found interesting?

I think it’s an absolute masterpiece. I so wish there was a similar insight to Abbey Road, Sgt Pepper, Revolver etc. It is unbelievable to think it was 50+ years ago.

They’re so gentle - even when arguing. So self aware, and so articulate. Imagine now - everyone would be on their phones or tweeting throughout. And this was January 1969 - they’d only finished the White album (a double album!!) a few weeks earlier. Talk about a tall order to get a new album written and recorded in 3 weeks.

I maintain that Lennon and McCartney are geniuses. And I don’t think the Beatles will ever be bettered in terms of their songwriting, musical and cultural impact.

Also - the hair! The beards! The 60s fashion!

It’s a beautiful thing to watch. The clothes are lovely. I can’t get over how young they are. I agree they were geniuses.

@bestiswest it really was beautiful- no one I know has seen it so I can't discuss it with anyone - it was kind of spiritual- I'm almost coming over all Sistine chapel at the thought of it.

I really did laugh heartily out loud at the thought of you going all "Sistine Chapel" 😂😂

It really was a magical thing to hear those songs together, for sure.

I'm not a huge Beatles fan but I loved it and found a whole new appreciation for them and the fashion as lots of you have said is amazing. Loved George sending out for ties and shoes!

George really was lovely wasn't he. In a room containing Mo Starkey and Patti Boyd he was still the most beautiful person there!

Yoko's wailing might be terrible but the rest of them clearly don't mind her having a go, Paul clearly saw it as a fantastic opportunity to have a bash on the drums.

I thought Ringo's alcohol problem was very well known, I'm pretty sure he met Barbara in rehab. I think Yoko lost her baby after a particularly vicious beating from John too.

Im a big Beatles fan, hence my username!

I loved it.

Recording was clearly chaotic and without Epstein you can see they were quite rudderless, with Paul attempting to organise things.

George Martin was frustrated with the lack of discipline in the studio. When they went back to record Abbey Road he agreed on the proviso that the process would be more disciplined. The part was Heather showed how manic it was!

I still can't believe how they wrote so many amazing songs in such a short time frame.

DH and I had to laugh when Paul was starting to record Let it Be and the rest were all messing around?! How did they not recognise a masterpiece being born? Grin they just saw it as another of Paul's granny songs, especially John!

John and Yoko-- John was clearly possessive and the relationship was unhealthy and in my view, abusive.
