Our Girl Thread 62 "Our Girl, Soldier Soldier and The Musketeers Revisited"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and are now on the final series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. In the New Year, we plan to go back and watch series 2 of Our Girl.

I can do next week, not so sure about 5th as I might have a visitor

I think I'd prefer reconvening in January if that's ok but if people do want to meet next week, I can do that.

Shall we take a Christmas break then and meet again in January. If Weds 5th is a problem for you eejit I can do any other day in the week.

Agree with that Rhu and I can manage the rest of that week too.

Sorry went awol there but I too prefer missing out next week and can do the 5th if it works out that is the choice. Quite happy to fit in (as far as I know) if it has to be a later date in January. Hope you all have a nice Christmas and stay well.

Happy New Year to one and all. Wonder what delights 2022 is going to bring. Still we've got our own delights with the boys in leather and then Our Girl

I watched the first episode of "The Tourist" last night and realised that Maisie from OG is in it. Anyone else watch it? Personally, despite all the hype and the fact Jamie Dornan is the star, I thought it was very slow.

Have to agree ilove I found it positively weird as well as slow. I had read that "Maisie" had gone back to Australia. I remember seeing her in an Australian soap called "The Heart Guy" and as it w as after seeing her in OG I w as amazed at how strong her Aussie accent was. However I now think she perhaps exaggerated it a bit in that series as last night it was nowhere near so pronounced. Obviously versatile with accents.

Unfortunately can't make it this evening. Will look at the episode tomorrow while reading your comments. Hope you enjoy. Will endeavour to get my act together for next week

Funny you should all be mentioning The Tourist because I just started watching it tonight, and I'm now part way through episode 3. It is sort of slow, but strangely quirky and funny too. It kind of reminds me of "Northern Exposure" if you remember that series from Channel 4 many years ago (set in Alaska with a ensemble of weird and quirky characters). I'm finding it quite difficult to marry this version of our Maisie with our Maisie. I agree, her accent isn't really strong in this. I'm quite liking it though.

Queenie has been wearing that blue dress a lot this series. Maybe the Musketeers' fancy outfits cost so much, they had to economise on her dresses.

Plenty of Spanish prisoners there. Going to the gallows by the sounds of it.

So, Aramis is going somewhere to meet with Spanish representatives for Queenie?
