I'll join you. Loved series 1, didn't think that much of series 2 (I actively started to dislike Jack and wondered what Mel saw in him). Will watch series 3 and hope it's a return to firm.

I also loved Chesapeake Shores - the clothes, the houses and the landscape!

Am on episode 2 and for some reason I keep on thinking Jack needs a haircut. And honestly - Mel has so much trauma in her life. Not sure if I knew about her mother.

And what is the timeline? Chloe looks no more than 4 or 5 months old and Charmaine isn’t showing - even though she is meant to be pregnant with Twins!!

I also can’t remember what happened to Christopher’s Mum - did she run away at end of series 2 because ex came back and was looking for and then she left her son with Preacher? I can’t remember!!

Saving it for tomorrow as I'll have the tv to myself.

She pushed the ex husband down the stairs and preacher disposed of the body! His twin turned up looking for him. She decided it was safer for her to go into hiding by herself!

I managed 2.5 episodes and well it's not going well is it. Charmaine seems to have had a personality transplant, Jack's made a miracle recovery so time has passed but Charmaine's bump is even smaller. Those horny teenagers are just creepy. Mel is obviously pregnant in real life so every shot is just her face. I'm not sure I even want to watch the rest.

Thanks @cikecaka - I remember now!! It’s been six months since I saw series 2 and my mind is blank.

I don’t think Alexandra B is pregnant in real life - her Wikipedia says she has 2 children - last one in 2017.

I just felt the whole reason why she doesn’t like to celebrate her birthdays a bit meh (and I say that with my sister dying on Christmas Eve but I still celebrate Christmas).

I thought the same about her being pregnant too!
I’m on episode 2. Not loving it as much as the others so far but sure I will binge it all the same.

Where is Charmaine's bump? She looks smaller than last series!

I don't find any of the storylines particularly engaging apart from Lily's and Preacher's. And I'm beginning to have a lot more sympathy for Muriel. But I do enjoy the scenery!

Will probably continue to watch but definitely not enjoying it as much as the first series - maybe it's the curse of Moonlighting and they should never have got characters together.

It's all a bit "more of the same", isn't it? Mel is still positively saintly and borderline annoying, but I still think it's a mistake to have shifted the focus onto a broader range of characters. I don't really care, for example, about the randy teenagers or about Preacher and Paige. I like Hope but she's not properly in the four episodes I've seen so far. Does anyone know if there was some reason - did the actress have to self-isolate or something? I'm not sure if any of the filming was during Covid restrictions.

I have really warmed to Muriel and I'd love to see her happy. I such sympathy for her.

Let me know when you have finished the series. I have thoughts about the end 🤐

I also wondered about Covid and whether that was why Annette O’Toole was only seen remotely (though am only on Episode 4).

I finished it today. Rather enjoyed it but did have a snooze at one point. The hazards of binging.

I find Jacks craggy looks combined with his waxed chest rather incongruous.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts @doadeer.

No spoilers from me though until people
I’ve time to catch up.

I was thinking it was the longest pregnancy ever.

Doc looks to have aged a lot over the break.

I'm not as drawn in as in previous seasons so will spread it out I think.

I’ve just finished Ep2.

All storylines are now boring me to tears as we seem to be where we were in S1, especially as it seems like Charmaine is only 4 weeks pregnant as there’s no bump? And is magically with another man in the 3 week(?) gap between S2 and S3?

I vote Mel just fucks off to back to live with her sister tbh, who can be arsed with all this bollocks when she could just walk away?

I'm only on Season 2 but I think Mel is vile to Charmaine - I'm struggling to continue watching as finding the abandoned Charmaine story hideous. Gobsmacked that we are expected to be on Mel's side as she is the main protagonist. Horrible woman.
