Just catching up on this! It's quite soapy with all the storylines going on. And noone seemed surprised enough when Finn turned up!

Yes!

I did think "oh is that all they can think of?"

Anna pisses me off so much!

Droning on about everyone thinking bad of Rory-had they not been blaming the illness?

She & him were trying to permanently take Elaine's kids from her & her dad tried to kill Elaine in the process!

Yet in this series she's still on about going to Singapore & it not being fair that Elaine sees them.

I don’t think she knows that it wasn’t the mums fault about the fire

that it was Rory the dad

I thought that she knew before Rory died-I thought that when he agreed to say that he killed Denis he admitted it then.

Could be wrong though-frequently am😁

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/05/2022 19:40

The. Why is Anna so against mum having her own kids

The. Why is Anna so against mum having her own kids

I'm guessing because she had been hoping to get custody/PR before Rory died & doesn't want them to have a relationship with Elaine?

She's obviously been in their lives for some time & I suppose feels bitter that Elaine can seemingly walk back in & also has changed her mind about giving up PR (can't remember exactly what Elaine was going to sign)

It's possible she doesn't know though-Rory told Val & Elaine (or Val told Elaine) I think but maybe no one else?

Can't remember for sure.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2022 11:02

Ok seen e6

tad confused

so Val carries on keeping secrets to keep the family together

they hide Finn being shot by his step nephew

cover it all up

finn now knows how his dad died and who killed him. Not Val.

So all pretend that it was still rory

till grace at the end goes to find jo and tells him that it wasn’t Rory

and it ends

so guessing will be a smother 3

And glad Val said it was Anna who spiked the mums drinks

she deserved that dlsp

you don’t give a recovering alcoholic drinks

eell you don’t spike anyone’s drinks but def not an alcoholic

OP posts:
diddl · 11/05/2022 13:41

The spiking of the drink was way OTT.

Presumably Anna intended to report Elaine as driving over the limit.

She obviously didn't care if Elaine was killed/injured or killed/injured someone else!

I wonder if Jacob will change towards Anna as he knows that she spiked Elaine's drink?

So series 3-will they all be trying to make out that Grace had a mental health relapse & doesn't know what she's talking about??

That would be awful wouldn't it?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2022 14:23

I’ve just had a google @diddl they are filming s3 now to be shown next year

what will the story be

and not sure why grace went to tell joe that it wasn’t Rory who killed dennis

OP posts:
diddl · 11/05/2022 15:14

not sure why grace went to tell joe that it wasn’t Rory who killed dennis

Maybe that will be a misdirect?

Aren't they all accessories after the fact now?

If Elaine was defending herself, what is she guilty of?

Involuntary manslaughter?

If it comes out though, won't she then want to say about Anna spiking her drink as a mens of trying to get the boys?

How old were they when the fire happened, can you remember?

diddl · 11/05/2022 15:28

Also wondering about Joe-was he rushing to tell Val what he'd discovered about Finn?

Also had he been accessing records that he shouldn't have?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2022 16:27

I want to say she’s been sober 8 or 11 years so guessing they were 3/5 at time of fire

but Anna isn’t vals daughter. Only Dennis’s

so who is her mum

OP posts:
diddl · 11/05/2022 16:34

I was also thinking 8yrs.

So that would make Calum 8 & Jacob younger.

So knowing that Elaine was passed out on the sofa, he'd effectively left an 8yr old in charge-surely a shit thing to do in any circumstances?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2022 17:12

I can’t R.E.M. about the fire

did she fall asleep

but it was Rory’s fault but can’t R.E.M. how

I think she was obviously drunk & lounging on the sofa-so in no fit state to be left in charge of kids!

Had Rory left a gas ring on?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2022 19:18

Ah that does ring a bell

anye she wasn’t drunk when he left

Bumping this old thread as I don't have Alibi but Smother series 1 and 2 is now on UK TV Play free app on their drama channel. I think @Blondeshavemorefun mentioned it elsewhere and I picked up on it.

I've completed series 1 and going on to 2, so will read back through the thread later.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/04/2024 13:36

Gets excited.

Oh enjoy it @martinisforeveryone

I loved it

And had to wait rhink a year for s3 to come into alibi

Hopefully won't be too long for UKTV

That's a great app. I watch lots on it with a baby over my shoulder
