Read lots about this last year but didn’t have access to it - it’s just popped up on Prime to watched first episode tonight.

For those who don’t know anything about it, it’s about the female victims of a polygamist con artist (and seemingly complete sociopath).

Have only watched episode 1 but I’m absolutely stunned by it so far.

Anyone else watching / has watched? There are 4x 1hr episodes. Please don’t spoil it though!

I watched it!

It was...mind boggling!

Can’t wait to watch more tonight - I hope they nail his testicles to the wall. What an absolute monster he is! That female bounty hunter is kick ass, though.

Just finished it tonight - that guy is beyond belief!

Would definitely recommend it if anyone is looking for something to watch!

Thanks for the heads up. Read about this a while ago and have been waiting to watch it.

I read a lot about it last year too - when I looked on IMDB a few days ago the reviews weren’t great though so I wasn’t expecting much but it was really well done.

Interesting story but poorly made documentary. It wasn't very coherent and could probably have been cut down to 2 hours. There was a lot of Karla the bounty hunter grandstanding which didn't really add to any anything.

Could probably have done with a voice over to link it all together. I got a bit confused with the timeline of events. Also the little cartoon sections made me think the documentary maker was fresh out of film school and wanted to show off all his skills. They didn't really add anything.

I didn’t feel that way at all. It’s difficult when you are making a documentary with little visual footage - i preferred the animation to the other techniques I’ve seen recently (soft focus reconstructions, or the person walking around somewhere something happened and talking about it). I’ve seen a few documentaries recently that use animation (eg. The HBO NXIVM documentary) and I don’t mind it.

I didn’t feel it was too long either, or that there was too much of Karla, but then I found her interesting so perhaps that’s why.

I do wish the interviewer had asked more in the last episode though - I found it frustrating that certain questions weren’t asked (won’t be more specific in case it spoils anything!)
