ibroughtcake · 25/10/2007 14:38

cod how many times a day do you go on your blog, you've had over 200 visits since yesterday!

LOOBYLOU2 · 25/10/2007 15:01

Hi Hifi
I remember it was on Mulberry Street, in Little Italy
emailed DP to see if he can remember where he found it from
There are loads of websites for film locations - we went to the diner in When Harry met Sally too (Katz Diner, Lower East Side)

hifi · 25/10/2007 15:12

thanks looby i will look it up, been to katz, huge portions.

LOOBYLOU2 · 25/10/2007 15:17

hifi
found it in the rough guide!
1908 Mulberry Street Bar

On the portions in Katz - I had a sandwich which I think contained half a turkey!

Had special birthday meal at the River Cafe in Brooklyn - fab food and fantastic views of Manhattan.

hifi · 25/10/2007 15:21

i had half my salt beef, half a cow, took rest away in a box.

Abs. loved the way they have tied up all the loose ends. The look on the therapist's face at the dinner table as she realised that she had been 'an accessory of sorts' was brilliant. Janice looked destroyed. I cannot wait till this Sunday.

ArcticRoll · 25/10/2007 16:29

A brilliant episode.
One more episode to go, sob.
Agree cod that Janice looked very odd-perhaps she's had some 'work done'.
Loved the scene in the restaurant with Carmela putting on brave face over Meadow's decision to drop out of Med school, contrasted with the horrific violence in other scenes.

Oh definately - the way he can disassociate his "work" from his home life and the way he lies about much of it during his sessions with Dr Melfi. He only discusses what he wants to try to justify it to himself.
I think the therapy helped him initially .... especially re his relationship with his Mother.

Not really ... just love the depths that the show portrays of human character - underneath the sex and violence.
I think it has been abs brilliant and I hope the ending doesn't disapoint
I will not look at the website
I will not look at the website
I will not look at the website

sep issue ... Stevie Van Zandt must have had no more than two pages of dialogue this series .... just lots of nodding and shrugging!

ibroughtcake · 25/10/2007 18:37

I cracked

Just a peek I promised myself

Read the whole bloody synopsis

I think it did help him initially, he didn't have a panic attack for ages and it seemed to help with the whole junior thing. I don't understand what happened with that whole Dr Melfi being raped thing? I thought for sure Tony was going to find out and do something about it.

I loved when he put the magazine receipe back though

BigGitDad · 25/10/2007 22:28

For what it is worth and I may get shot on here but you can visit the Bada Bing joint as well where they also film the Sopranos but this may be more for the men.

I will miss the Sopranos, was shocked when Tony killed Christopher, but he had it coming!
The humour is quiet sick at parts, like when the guy was strangled at the beginning of Sunday's episode and the dog was sniffing around the dead guys backside. Gross... Typical Sopranos really.
My favourite episode was when Christopher and the other guy bungled the murder of the Russian who turned out to be an ex special services soldier and they lost him in the woods and then they got lost as well and had to get Tony to recover them. I was almost crying in parts. Especailly when they were wrapped up in carpets in the abandoned van trying to keep warm in the night.

A seven minute catch-up of everything that has happened in The Sopranos so far....adult viewing.

Don't they look young.

BigGitDad · 28/10/2007 16:54

Cannot wait for tonight! Think I might feel as empty as when Bobby Simone died on NYPD Blue a while back......

BigGitDad · 28/10/2007 16:57

Bookends, tried the link but no good, any other way to access it?

cremolafoamingatthemouth · 29/10/2007 10:04

oooooh great death for phil leotardo.

bookends · 29/10/2007 11:36

BigGitDad...try going to Youtube and typing in seven minute catch-up of Sopranos. It will be worth it as they've managed to wrap-up everything that happened from start to finish in a witty way. I had forgotten a lot of the characters and storylines. good luck
