Nothing can hold my babs attention more than well... insurance adverts.
Current faves are
The AA stick man that whistles.
Churchill dog.
More than.
And firstplus with Carol Vorderface.
I say the cbeebies need to rethink their telly t schedules and include adverts.
Anyone else have babys who loves adverts?

Is your baby very worried about the future, or planning a career as a financial advisor?!
Mine likes watching the washing go around which would be very useful if he could let me know when something black's gone in with the whites!
What contents insurance does your baby recommend, I should really get some!

cupcakes · 23/10/2004 12:51

When my ds was a baby and we still had nick jr he was transfixed by the adverts - it's so funny to be reminded of this again by your post!

MistressMary · 23/10/2004 12:53

PMSL.
He obviously is trying to tell us something then?
I'm not sure which he would choose but I do know that the companies have at least one person who takes their products serioulsly!

my dd loves the aa insurance advert too!! very strange, she goes running through to the front room in her walker if she hears the music to it lol x

pixel · 23/10/2004 15:34

My ds has always loved that Churchill advert even as quite a small baby. I used to dread it coming on when I was breastfeeding because he would whip his head around suddenly to look at the TV. Very painful when his teeth started to come through!

moomina · 23/10/2004 15:44

Mine loves the AA ad too! I really noticed it the other day - he is transfixed whenever it comes on. I thought maybe it was something to do with the yellow and black - quite eyecatching?

MistressMary · 23/10/2004 15:47

Perhaps there is a subliminal message under the obvious message of AA such as, try and tire your parents and get them to talk about this online to highlight the AA.
Okay overactive imagination now, me thinks....

linniewith2 · 23/10/2004 23:15

My 2 yr old dd would always say Taa daa at the same time as melanie sykes in the h&s adverts
and she loves the new diesel engine add

mummytojames · 23/10/2004 23:19

mistressmary your not alone here my ds could be in another room (his bedroom)and the adverts couldnt have even started or just about to start and he in the living room sitting there watching them and god help anyone who turns the channel over and he has to miss his adverts he growls at them until they put it back on

TwoIfBySea · 24/10/2004 22:04

Pixel my ds twins loved that advert too. When it came on they would sit nodding their heads going "oh yes, yes, yes."

Sounds dodgy written down like that, more Meg Ryan than bulldog but it was cute to see.

pixiefish · 24/10/2004 22:09

My dd loves the Pampers ad where the dad and baby go 'choo choo choo'. that stops her mid track of whatever she's doing

linniewith2 · 24/10/2004 22:40

Just found one dd loves ......
I love to boogie.....the robinsons orange add with the swirly dancing men!
She cant watch it without bobbing her head or having a wiggle

Choo choo choo is another one

Jodee · 24/10/2004 22:43

DS is starting to repeat ad catchphrases. The other day I was getting irate with him, he told me to "Calm down, dear".

jamiesmom · 24/10/2004 22:52

It is a downward spiral from here onwards.
