Looked for a thread on this but couldn’t find.

Anyone seen? What did you think? Was the Giuliani scene real - ie where he runs his hand over her lower back / upper buttock?

I’ve seen it and those scenes appear real to me. Unfortunately I thought it was utter shit compared to the first film

The first film was breathtaking in its audacity - I saw it in the cinema with a friend and I have to say it was the only film where I have simultaneously laughed aloud and gasped in pretty much the same breath

Apparently most of the scenes are real/not set up except for the synagogue one. The two old ladies were told in advance that Sascha was Jewish etc. Apparently the lady who was a holocaust survivor died shortly afterwards and the film was dedicated to her.

The Guilliano scenes were apparently real, although he claims it was all taken out of context.

Thought the film had some funny/good bits, but some very cringey bits.

Though there is no context that can explain him touching her...

Aw - I’m glad that bit wasn’t a set up and the film was dedicated to her

I actually found the scene quite moving Blush

I thought it was great. I laughed out loud at a lot of it.

I think it was less coherent than the first movie. The movie itself acknowledged that it's harder for Sacha Baron Cohen to do the same kind of comedy as he is well known now. It also seemed like the plot had to change because of coronavirus? So it was a bit all over the place in that respect but still funny.
