Well worth watching, especially if you like Mark Rylance, Eddie Redmayne and Sacha Baron Cohen...which I do. Serious subject but there were some laughs as well.

Marin I can't believe nobody else has watched this. It was a fantastic drama and I thought Sacha Baron Cohen was brilliant as Abbie Hoffman. I've read a lot about the 1968 Democratic convention and found this brilliantly written (no surprise it's Aaron Sorkin). I was Shock at the judge all the way through!

I cried at the end when they read out the names of the dead. My only very small complaint is that I'd like to have known what happened to the prosecutor who also stood at the end and clearly realised what a travesty the whole thing had been.

Watched it last weekend, and it was really good!!

Glad someone else has watched this as I thought it was really good.
If you look people up online you can find out what happened to them and what they're doing now, if still alive of course.
I was pleased the judge was later found to be "unqualified" to be a judge and dismissed.
Baron Cohen's character later went on to kill himself Sad

Watched it last night, and thought it was excellent - which I knew it would be with Aaron Sorkin involved.

I loved it - it had such good standards all round - the script, the acting, the direction. What a treat.

It was such a shock to see that Abbie Hoffman later committed suicide.

We all watched this last night after a friend recommended it - it's absolutely brilliant isn't it? terrific performances and very prescient. I cannot believe how history is repeating itself, with the US demonisation of BLM, 'Antifa' etc.

The moment when they dragged a chained and gagged Bobby Seale into the courtroom had me aghast though....some very difficult moments. Sad

I was also reading up about the people involved. It may interest you to know that the lawyer ( the Mark Rylance character) also went on to defend Yusuf Salaam, one of the Central Park 5 later on in his career. (not that it did Yusuf Salaam much good Sad)
