Her cousin was so charismatic too.

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing this now. Trouble is, I'll be looking out for teh coat

Hurlyburly · 06/09/2007 23:50

Hello TnOgu. Nice to meet you too.

You left a lovely message on a thread the other day, but by the time I came back I'd missed you.

Desiderata · 06/09/2007 23:50

Oh! FUCK ME UCM ... is that wise?????

Desiderata · 06/09/2007 23:52

Yes, I read about that BGD. It must be confusing to be German. They may well be forgiven, but they will never be forgotten.

I was born there, and I love the country, but I wouldn't relish being a progressive 21st century teenager with that hanging over my head.

UCM · 06/09/2007 23:57

It's an issue that needs discussing Des. It pops up as bullying, clique every time.

So yes.

I was joking, darling UCM.

I always love your threads

TnOgu · 07/09/2007 00:02

How desperately sad, spinspin.

HB -

we will talk again.

Goodnight.

UCM · 07/09/2007 00:04

I know dear, you always come

NadineBaggott · 07/09/2007 00:06

when you've all finished dissing the prog, the coat, Natasha, BBC news reporters, each other, then kissing, hugging, stroking and indulging in a love in, if you find out its repeated could you come looking for me and let me know?

Ta

How sad, spin. The programme is always repeated, so keep an eye out for it. It's important to face our collective history, isn't it?

Spin, never apologize for a heavy post on the subject of the holocaust.

It does good to be reminded of it. Most school children these days never even get to hear about it.

Gingerbear · 07/09/2007 00:42

Did anyone notice the graffiti 'White Power' scrawled on the boarding around the ruined synagogue? Hatred still exists today.

I only caught the last 10 minutes or so, still was harrowing to watch.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 07/09/2007 00:59

NB - i can watch it on replay in digi tv. I dont suppose that helps you though?

I would love to be able to be flippant at comments of how manipulative it is to 'throw' in details of murdered children and babies.

Alas, I am a boring fart who tries not to court controversy. At least, not on a thread where someone has stated early on that they found the story upsetting.

bluesky · 07/09/2007 18:12

Just to throw my bit in, she knew the early part about South African history etc, but she didn't know the rest.

They do all the research, and then Natasha gets her passport and bits and pieces together and off she goes.

It was all genuine and all very harrowing.

belgo · 07/09/2007 18:15

my dd1 sobbed and sobbed through most of the programme meaning I missed nearly all of it because I was in her bedroom trying to get her back to sleep grrrr

RedBundle · 12/09/2007 15:51

I missed this prog but know the Kaplinskis (through dh's family) socially. I'd love to see it if anyone has a copy

Celery · 12/09/2007 15:57

You can download it ( and loads of other stuff ) via the bbc website. Um, can't remember what it's called. . hang on. . .

Celery · 12/09/2007 16:00

It's called BBCi, but I can't find it anywhere - DH set it all up. You can basically download lots of TV from the last week. Channel 4 do a version too, called 4on demand.

RedBundle · 12/09/2007 16:00

thanks celery

Celery · 12/09/2007 16:05

sorry I'm not much help! I can't find it anywhere ( googling frantically ). It's called BBCi Player and it's very very new - I don't think the proper version is available yet, so god knows where dh got it from. It's brilliant though, as is the channel 4 version.

morgansauntie · 12/09/2007 19:12

sorry to but in if you go to the bbc website type bbc i player in the search box it brings it up as the best link well it did a minute a go, you may need to be quick because knowing the bbc it may disappear at any time - only know this as I was looking for it the other day

I hope that helps
