'Escape to the Country" - OMG they want our house to be considered for the new programme !!!

Had a call from Estate agents today and they have been approached by the producers from above TV programme and would like to view our house as a consideration as a property for the next series !!!!!

OMG OMG OMG (grin) (grin)...

We're really deserate to sell and if they do take it on it will be much better publicity than what the estate agents are doing...Am SOOOOOOO excited...wanted to share it with you all !!!

Anyway, producers are 'viewing' on monday morning, will make the decision whether it meets criteria of people who are looking, then will film in the afternoon if it does........

I used to have a shop and I did sell furntiture..this was white furnitiure from France they borrowed for more than 6 months without charge on the grounds that I would be on their website and featured in the programme...

and I did have the privilege of meeting justin and wotsit

and the yioung male researcher was really nice..he took me round the house too one day when he came to mow the lawn and popped in a couple of times to say hello..think he got bored as the house took nearly a year to do up and sell

my friend was on trading up ( i think). She offered on the "wildcard" and it was still going through when they aired the programme

BGS ? the chances of it being aired within the next 6 months are pretty remote.
I had the same thing when selling my house out in the sticks over 2 years ago.
House goes on market Jan ? ETTC approach me in the March ? come and do the filming about 3 weeks later (was really good fun though ? Melissa Porter/Potter? was the presenter on mine).
Told me they would let me know when it would be aired.
Now Aug ? still nothing happening with ETTC ? sold house to private buyer.
Move to new house by December ? get email in Feb telling me it?s going to be on next week??hmmmm ? They didn?t choose my house to view?

Oooh how exciting, ETTC is one of my favourite programmes although I very rarely get to see it these days. Reminds me of ds's babyhood, b/f on the sofa with a cup of tea.

My friend calls it 'Let's go and look at nice houses in the country and not buy any of them' though.

I think I can picture the sort of furniture (and shop)you had you had, Zippitippitoes. I like that style though I don't think I will ever have the sort of home where it will belong, alas. I hope everything arrived back undamaged after six months and the exposure really did benefit you.
