Great episode! I've never seen a single player beat a chaser before - let alone for that amount! She was amazing.
From memory, there was an amazing woman called Isobel, I think, who played an absolute blinder and won £60K all on her own.
It must be extremely embarrassing for the chaser, though. When 2, 3 or 4 people beat them together, it's the clear advantage of a valiant combined effort, but when a single player does it, you're an amateur who's outclassed a professional at their (literal) own game.
That said, though, I do often wonder if contestants who know they're brilliant actually want the others to make it back - getting in their way, contributing very little, making stupid guesses, passing too hastily and necessitating the use of time-wasting buzzers and waiting for names to be called out - and then walking away with half of your money.
If it's genuinely two or more strong players working together then great, but if it's the equivalent of a 3yo insisting on 'helping' Mummy or Daddy and then wanting praise for making it take three times as long and you needing to redo it after they've gone to bed!
