Enjoyable but informative tv to watch with 11yo dd

Can anyone recommend anything? We’ve just watched Our Yorkshire Farm which we both loved and was a great insight into farming. We watch quiz shows but what else might she enjoy? That’s actually a bit educational as well? We have Sky and Amazon Prime.

I don’t know what Prime has but I know there is some overlap with Netflix.
Merlin (the series where Merlin and Arthur are young)
Merli (coincidence about the name, is about a teacher in a high school so there’s a lot of subject knowledge dropped in)
Project Runway offers a lot of insight into designing clothes as well as the week by week competition.

My DD has enjoyed the BBC Back in Time For... programmes. They’re currently doing school, but I’m not sure if the others are on iPlayer.

DS(12) and I like Food Factory, How do they do that, Mythbusters, Time Team, GPs behind Closed Doors, and he's addicted to Forged in Fire (which is actually very interesting)

Yes loved back in time for tea, back in time to Victorian working conditions, back in time for school. They should do more of those!

.... I realise DiP isn't informative but it's one if the programs that I know we'll actually all watch as a family...without other screens distracting them! Grin
Have you tried watching any of the Lego masters or Landscape Artist of the year type programs? We enjoy those too.

Dd loves Consumed. It's a hoarder/clear out tv show on Netflix. It brings up some interesting conversations between us on division of labour, emotional attachment to things, mental health etc

oh yes, rich house, poor house was another interesting conversation starter. There is the odd bit of swearing in some of them.

Mine likes Lego Masters, Saving Lives At Sea, the new one about the Red Arrows on C5, any Planet Earth, Dragons Den, Cake Wars (bit trashy but fun)

Planet earth and blue planet are great I love it and so do both my ds's 5 and 10, so good for all ages.
