Fuzzy, back in the days when Friends was played on endless loop on Ch4 DH used to watch it morning and evening, drove me mad. I was more worried that the Eurovision lovers on this thread would spot my earlier post about how mych I detest it.

Since when was Karen a community nurse? I remember she used to be a HCA, but she's been on reception for years.

Meet

You hate Eurovision! Shock

It's one of my favourite nights of the year Grin.

It is the one programme I literally cannot bear being in the room for Raahh. I try every year but can't take more than a few minutes. It was even worse when Wogan (RIP) did it.

toldmywrath · 29/11/2018 08:10

Eurovision is brilliant! It's the most loved annual treat in our house. Better than all the Christmas tosh TV.

toldmywrath · 29/11/2018 08:12

Raahh you mentioned upthread about a gold digger /not paying attention in Tuesday's episode and what happened. I don't even recall a gold digger!

toldmywrath · 29/11/2018 08:13

That hippy house was very clean!

toldmywrath · 29/11/2018 08:14

@doctorsnoddy do you have a vpa (vulnerable patients assessment) scheme whereby you do home visits if someone doesn't get their repeat prescription?

doctorsnoddy · 29/11/2018 08:25

@toldmywrath** we do not, might write or phone them. Our fictional medics rather fonder of a home visit than any real life gp I have ever met!

Pencilmuseum · 29/11/2018 08:55

I too despise Eurovision. It is so long, boring and obscure. The geography bits are like a travelogue made by an Eastern European collective circa 1967.

MadisonAvenue · 29/11/2018 13:04

Pencil I bloody love This Country, can't wait for the next series.

Don't like Eurovision though.

FuzzyCustard · 29/11/2018 13:23

I can just about bear to watch Eurovision as long as I have good book to read at the same time but cannot stay awake for the voting. And I care nothing for who wins, so going to bed is always the best alternative.

FuzzyCustard · 29/11/2018 13:42

I'm here...anyone else?

Raahh · 29/11/2018 13:44

Told sorry, I was out this morningand just saw this- yesterday , there was a woman, unless i dreamt it (highly likely) who was very much Heston's proper 'type' , tall, posh, brunette. She appeared , waffling about a charity I think, I forget the details. It seems that Heston had been regularly sending her a postal order (dodgy) and I think she was was worried now he was dead this would stop.

Then the POTD moved on to ageing hippies and female Peter Kay impersonators, and I'm not sure what happened.

I might have been asleep through the whole episode Grin.

Yes reporting for duty

Raahh · 29/11/2018 13:45

Fuzzy I love the the Eurovision threads on here. They are great. But I'm usually asleep/ drunk by the time the voting starts Grin.

I did make it to the end this year Grin.

Raahh · 29/11/2018 13:47

What happened to the locks on doors and the security ?

FuzzyCustard · 29/11/2018 13:47

Mrs Miller looks familiar...what else has she been in?

SubtitlesOn · 29/11/2018 13:47

Like the idea of Hestons books being donated

FuzzyCustard · 29/11/2018 13:49

She's very angry, isn't she? What about personal responsibility?

Raahh · 29/11/2018 13:49

Oh, she's trying to blame 6tl.

Oh dear.

SubtitlesOn · 29/11/2018 13:49

Daniel should be taking her to dancing class

Raahh · 29/11/2018 13:50

Subtitles Sounds like it's his Mills and Boon and not his more high brow first editions Grin

My late dad's books were all donated to a library (Liverpool Uni) all sorted out by his literary executor. It was a lovely thing to do with them. I'm not sure the local library would have been so interested.

Pencilmuseum · 29/11/2018 13:50

think she was in Corrie many years ago
