Is it really ike this in the City? The blokes are complete tossers....

ViciousSquirrelSpotter · 17/06/2007 22:29

That was excellent

Really makes the point that sweet FA has changed in spite of these high profile cases

controlfreaky2 · 17/06/2007 22:30

i thought the 'if you've been affected by any of the issues in this programme' helpline number was conspicuous by its absence. they'd be swamped. and the bbc is as bad as any other employer.
how depressing the whole thing is. if only every woman sidelined because she had a baby could sue for £3 million. the sad truth is you just become invisible. no big boss conspiracy - you just don't count anymore.

were you the cleaner, LL? she seemed nice.

Aitch · 17/06/2007 22:46

my pal did her MBA thesis on the issue of women in the city who are sidelined after work. such a stoopid waste...

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 17/06/2007 22:46

yeah, he left when she was a loser and had dented his male pride by going to a lapdancing club. he came back when she was a winner with £3million in the bank - which meant she could stay home and look afer the baby while he pootled around writing up pub gigs by indie rock bands.
still, she seemed pleased to see him. so fair enough i suppose.

CuttingCod · 17/06/2007 22:48

CuttingCod · 17/06/2007 22:50

it so is
what was she trying to prove
that hse was as much as otsser
?

controlfreaky2 · 17/06/2007 22:50

well it is and it isnt. imo.

emkana · 17/06/2007 22:52

Agree with cod.

How anybody could choose in such an environment is beyond me.

emkana · 17/06/2007 22:52

choose to work that is

CuttingCod · 17/06/2007 22:53

and it was totalyl incompatible wiht anyone hwo had ANY life outside work

ViciousSquirrelSpotter · 17/06/2007 22:54

It isn't the issue though is it. I also think anyone who wants to work in that environment is probably slightly unhinged and has some serious character flaws, but women should have the right to be as big wankers as men imo. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to join a golf club, but as long as they're there, they have to be open to everyone.

Aitch · 17/06/2007 22:54

absolutely that's the point. did not the suffragettes chain themselves to railings to fight for the rights of women to be just as tossy as men? did that poor King's horse die in vain?
