I feel sorry for them but I can’t help think most has if not all of them have mental health problems. Also I wonder if they would be so sick if they were poor and had nobody to look after them?

Jesus Christ. Really?

Clearly you have absolutely no idea what it’s like when you’re sick and no one can figure out why (or, in many cases, be bothered to figure out why).

You think they wouldn’t be as sick if there were no one to look after them?! Clearly you’ve never worked with severely disabled people living alone in utter poverty and still not being able to “snap out of it”.

Every disease is discovered and named at some point. I know several kids with conditions that are so rare there isn’t even a name for them.

Are all these people genuinely sick? I can’t know that. They certainly seem to be suffering and, whatever the cause, they’re not getting very far with the medical community from the episodes I’ve seen.

I’m not saying these people aren’t genuinely suffering but we know the brain is a powerful organ and it can cause physical symptoms. I myself suffered from a conditionan that has a psychological root but caused muscle contractions. It is revealed many of these people haves been diagnosed with anxiety and gone through periods of extreme stress at some point which could have triggered physical symptoms.
Having said that I think the two guys might have me or cfs which is real condition. Admittedly I’m a bit sceptical about whether sensitivities to certain things is the cause of the other people’s symptoms.

I’m not sure I trust some of the ‘healers’ shown in the programme either. I think some are taking advantage of desperate people.

The saddest thing about their experiences was how they clung on to sanity.
