Anne Robinson who I generally like (cue discovering distasteful factoid)

Premise - have women lost the fire that the 60's/70's women had in fighting for equality?

Seems interesting would prefer a series rather than a one off episode.

I’m watching. Think we need more of this type of programme.

I'm watching also

Me too. I think it's very thought provoking and challenging. Highlighting that there are no easy answers or at least more than one truth.

I'm watching.
Children need to see that women can do,what are perceived as,male dominated jobs, especially at primary school age.
Shocking, but not really surprising, that the children & their mothers gave the mechanic, surgeon & firefighter drawings male names.
On the subject of image, I've just had a no.2 cilipper haircut & the amount of people (best friend,Mum) that have said how 'horrible' it looks & it's not womanly.
Me,on the other hand love it & feel liberated & free & at 47 I don't give a shit what other people think!

Her attitude of 'we older women had it much worse, suck it up' really pisses me off....can we swing this around and say to BME groups 'well 150 years ago you were slaves, things are better now so suck it up??!? I don't think so, so why is it ok to do that to women?!

I agree we need more programmes like this! Even if you disagree with the views presented or indeed the presenter at least it would provoke thought and debate, hopefully even action!

Chickensaresafehere - nuts! I get the same kinda attitude but for opposite reason. I'm 46 with long, straight, un-dyed greying hair which my mother and others think is 'inappropriate' for my age. I've had my hair very short in the past and loved it but currently I prefer it long. Men are not judged as harshly and rarely relative to age, as women are - touched upon in the programme.

I don't think she meant "we had it harder suck it up" an example given being her experience of up skirting in the workplace! She loved that the younger women

A wouldn't tolerate that
B feel empowered enough to challenge it

I think it was more she was concerned that despite collectively campaigning for change, individually women are becoming complacent.

Love Ann Robinson programmes ,she is feisty and opiniated and says exactly what she thinks which makes a refreshing change in the current climate when every remark seemingly has to be edited lest it offends someone .I've read her autobiography and she is very honest about her own strengths and failings, what did come through very clearly was the very strong female model she had in her mother .What she never seems to do is blame others for her situation and present herself as a victim ,her attitude is get on with it and how can problems sorted , which seems a pretty good attitude to take although I appreciate that not every one is cut from the same cloth
