It seems so silly. This is a drama, a soap opera, yet I'm really struggling.

Also wracking my brains to think who I could trust to bring up ds if anything happened to dh and me.

Seriously? I would want them to be with the best people, not with a natural father who has never done any hands-on parenting and an incredibly reluctant "step" mother. I think. But then I try not to think about it too hard (me and Jennifer, ostriches both!)

Well maybe that's what makes it an exciting dilemma for the scriptwriters? Brian getting over his homophobia to place his son with a younger couple more able to look after him? Actually when I put it like that it does seem a bit unlikely.

oh it is just typical archers, gets one all wound up and then fizzles. i don't like this storyline much anyway, once you get past the emotional bit it is dulldulldull i want to hear about fallon and luscious ed.

I think that Sam will come back because that was resolved way too simply to leave for good, surely?

fishie · 22/05/2007 21:57

we can hope moodlum. there are certainly enough clunking family picnics chez ruth and dave.

Agreed. There's not much other scope for scandal. Unless of course the cricket team get to Lords .

Adam and Ian are slow to take the bite of my plot line. Grrr. All Adam's worried about is his farm inheritance which just doesn't quite ring true. Think if R went to Eliz and Nigel it would just make them even more boring if that's possible. I can't bear this Nigel's family history storyline and they have enough trouble reminding listeners they have children at all with their shoehorned references to Freddie and Lily - without another one to cope with. Be interesting to see how it all pans out. The Archers has a habit of veering away from controversy at the last moment so something implausible will probably happen like Siobhan is miraculously cured and R is never mentioned again. Also, don't you think they've missed a trick by not getting Debbie involved in this family crisis? Be interesting to put a spanner in the works of her and Brian... I think another interesting thing is that if Brian were rejecting Riaory (???) completely Jennifer wouldn't respect him for it. It feels no win for them all round. But R is a lovely little boy so they'll be a silver lining whatever the resolution... Oh dear, I'm spending ages typing about the Archers when I've got a pile of horrificly pressing admin - must go!
