UK’s odds of not losing now shooting up
The UK's entry to the Eurovision song contest was interrupted mid-performance by a protester who grabbed her microphone and shouted before he was dragged off stage by security.
SuRie looked shocked as the male protester ran onto the stage and grabbed her microphone mid-way through her song, much to the shock of BBC One commentator Graham Norton.
It is unclear who the invaded is, but he appeared to be say: 'For the Nazis of the UK media, we demand freedom.'
The 29-year-old did not let the blip effect her, as she demanded another microphone and then carried on with her performance.
Graham Norton said: 'We're not sure what's going to happen and if we'll get the opportunity to perform again.
He added: 'She coped so well - I'm in awe of her, really really terrific job from SuRie.'
The odds of the UK winning the competition plummeted after the incident. Going into this evening, SuRie was given odds of 400/1 to win, although that has now been slashed to 50/1.
t is unclear whether she will be given another chance to perform but both punted and bookies expected a better performane in voting for the UK.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: 'Bookies have been forced to take action on a controversial moment during SuRie's performance.
'Due to the highlighted attention on SuRie's song, punters are piling in on the UK to scoop the competition, something that was unthinkable just earlier on today
