I had forgotten much I loved their music. Yes they were arrogant and not particularly nice but this documentary was just brilliant and it just all made sense.

Yes couldn’t turn it off - reminded me being young. I loved the music at the time, not so much now.

I really enjoyed it, despite not being a huge Oasis fan in the day. Made me sad for kids nowadays with all the processed pop that is on offer and so few decent, proper bands

Braceface · 29/12/2017 22:22

I think their music is still brilliant. I loved Britpop, Pulp were my favourites. The 90s were a great time to be a teenager. I was a naive teen though and had no idea they did so many drugs!!

We saw it a while back and really enjoyed it, both of us were and still are big fans. We have sons aged 20 and 17 and both also love them, and now enjoy them as solo artists.

Just a little story. I remember about three weeks after our oldest was born I was blasting out Oasis whilst cleaning and suddenly remembered that I had a sleeping baby! I rushed into the room he was in and he was lying there awake and kicking his legs. That was my first parenting triumph.

I'm part way through watching it. It's reminding me how exciting it was to be a music fan in the mid nineties.

Braceface · 29/12/2017 22:27

I was more of a blue fan at the time too as I really fancied Damon albarn but he was always a tosser who couldn't hold a tune.

Champagne supernova sends shivers down my spine. Am totally rediscovering them!

Love Oasis - mid nineties was an awesome time to be a teenager.
Never quite forgiven them for getting bloody arrested in Munich the night before I was meant to see them though.
Loving both Gallagher as solo artists too.

Love this film, my eldest who is 18 is a massive fan. We went to see Liam in Manchester on the 19th of this Month, he sung loads of old Oasis it was a brilliant concert. My favourite scene from the film was the reenactment of the ferry incident, I still giggle when I think of it.

Muddlingalongalone · 29/12/2017 22:36

Live forever is my favourite song

weebarra · 29/12/2017 22:37

I really enjoyed it! Had meant to spend time when DH was out watching Little Women but was drawn into Supersonic!

Braceface · 29/12/2017 22:37

Am sat here listening to them.on Spotify. I was 17 in 1995, such incredible music around.

My daughter says she is a Ninties teenager trapped in a Millenials body 😂We also saw the Happy Mondays a few weeks ago, her tick list still has The Stone Roses and a few others on.

Timefortea99 · 29/12/2017 22:42

They were arrogant but they were bloody good. They give good quotes too. Didn't Noel say about Liam that he was a fork in a world full of soup. Brilliant. Noel always gives good interview.

SheGotOffThePlane · 29/12/2017 22:48

I'm watching it for the' second time round now. I absolutely loved Oasis when I was a teenager, I remember queueing up outside the old Virgin store in glasgow overnight for tickets when I was about 16 or 17.

Still love them now, must dig out my cd's.

Although I no longer fancy Liam and have a admiration for Noel that I didn't when I was young.

Fantastic memories.

zenasfuck · 29/12/2017 23:13

I am such a huge fan that I can’t watch it - the memories are too painful Confused watching what we had with them and is now gone Sad

I saw Liam a Birmingham a few weeks ago and although his voice wasn’t great, he still knows how to rock a crowd

loverofcake983 · 30/12/2017 10:27

I loved it! Bought back great memories, I was a massive fan in the 90's. Music is so different now, nothing like what we had. Noel was so right in what he said about oasis being the last thing before the digital
Age. My dd grew up listening to them via me but now has shit taste in music haha. I still play their songs. Was gutted I never got to see them live but got pregnant when I was 19 so my priorities changed haha.
