Series that are similar to Miranda?

We have let our children who are 7 and 10 watch Miranda and they loved it (and we were quite happy to watch with them!) Can anyone suggest a comedy series that is similar? Nothing too sweary or really rude of course.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Miranda is shockingly unfunny. But as it is kids we are talking about, they can be forgiven.

I meant to add that they might also find Citizen Khan funny.

I love Miranda and I'm going to watch her in Annie in a couple of weeks. I think she based her series on Laurel and Hardy... not sure...?

Hyperdrive - also stars Miranda Hart

Everybody loves Raymond

Outnumbered? Not totally the same but it's very funny and I think it would be age appropriate. Haven't watched it in ages but it features children so I believe it would be fine.

Father Ted, Keeping Up Appearances or Fawlty Towers?

They are slightly rude in places, but no worse than Miranda.

Picklesandpies · 20/08/2017 12:33

Thanks for that - we have done Father Ted and Fawlty Towers (they loved that!) but will look at Keeping up Appearances! X

We love Miranda here! The one where she goes dress shopping and is mistaken for a transvestite is so funny and the one when she's just started dating what's his name? Can't think but she opens the door in a wetsuit and a moustache.
Vicar of Dibley is family friendly too.

Thanks Shane - yes those episodes are funny (think I find it more funny when our children are enjoying it!) We tried VoD - they liked it but think some bits were lost on them!
