Am watching. Was wondering if you would be or not. Very open and honest.

Posey · 15/03/2007 21:33

How are you Yorkiegirl?

what a good programme. v v though. poor boy "making a dad"...

imaginaryfriend · 15/03/2007 21:43

It's incredibly sad but compelling viewing. I'm impressed with how strong the widows are and how touching the children are.

weepootleflump · 15/03/2007 21:43

Onlyn had it on for 2 minutes and I'm already in tears

NotanOtter · 15/03/2007 21:44

where are they looks very northern?

imaginaryfriend · 15/03/2007 21:46

The woman whose husband committed suicide seems so shell-shocked and 'hidden' somehow

It seems an amazing organisation, I'm sure nothing could help so much as having people to talk to who are going through the same thing.

It's so hard to get your head around the thought of losing your partner at that age. I break into a cold sweat just thinking about dp not being around.

YG, I can imagine that, life must suddenly become totally unreal. How are your kids handling it? (I've read some of your previous threads, haven't often commented due to lack of anything to say that feels like it could be helpful)

I lost my father very suddenly and traumatically when I was in my teens and at the same time I lost my faith in the everyday being still there the next day if that makes sense? I never take it for granted that dp's going to walk in from work every day.

hello Yorkiegirl,
I saw some of this programme last night, and wondered if you were watching too. When it mentioned WAY, I thought you might know someone.

have you time for a quick MSN about something else?

expatinscotland · 16/03/2007 09:11

That was very moving.

The women Ruth really stuck out, her love for her Nigel was sooo strong.

As were the others.

I felt really sorry for the one whose husband committed suicide, too.

My BIL's father committed suicide when BIL was just 4 years old, and it took a LOOOOONNGGG time before his mother was able to move into another relationship .

fairyjay · 16/03/2007 09:15

YG
Didn't see the programme but just looked at the thread.
I'm one of the many here who think about you at random times - and wonder how you and your daughters are doing.
x

Wherever they were, that was one glorious summer.

southeastastra · 16/03/2007 09:34

it was a very good show, but very sad
